Travel Guide

Directions from Wrexham: Leave Wrexham on the A484, A55 past Chester onto the M53. Leave the M53 at junction 11 heading eastbound towards Warrington on the M56. At junction 9 of the M56 join the M6 Northbound leaving ant junction 21a to join the M62 east bound towards Manchester. At Manchester the M62 becomes M60 and join the M60 North Ringroad following signs for the M62 West Yorkshire. The M60 reverts back to the M62 and continue on the M62 until junction 33 where you pick up the A1 and then the A1(M) and junction 38. The A1(M) then reverts to the A1 and continue on the A1 until the junction with the A17 where you follow the A17 to Sleaford. After 27 miles turn left onto the A1121 to Boston for a further five miles and then turn left again onto the A52. After just under 1.5 miles you will come to a roundabout in Boston with the junction of the A16. Turn left here onto the A16 - Haven bridge Road and then The John Adams Way (Dual Carriage Way) - and at the traffic lights with John Adams Way and Main Ridge turn right onto Main Ridge and then right again into York Street.
Car Parking: Away supporters are advised to use the NCP car park of John Adams Way. From the directions above take the first left after crossing the river off John Adams Way into the car park. There is parking on the opposite side of John Adams Way and this would make life easier as you will be facing in the correct direction for the away home. To reach it turn right into Main Ridge (as if you were travelling to the ground) and from there turn around to come back along John Adams Way to the car parks.
By Train: Nearest Train Station is Boston and is one mile way from the ground. The directions are a bit long so here goes: Head down station street towards the large church tower (Known locally as the Stump) and go through the car park with the Police Station on your right and then over the river on the footbridge. After the front bridge turn right into Church Lane towards the Market Place and keep going straight on and after passing the Britannia Inn you will cross over a pelican crossing. Keep going and then turn right down South Street and cross the road turning left down a small road called Spain Lane and after passing the Blackfriars Arts centre you will come to the John Adams Way dual carriageway. Cross this using the staggered pelican crossing and the ground is ahead of you down Spayne Road. Simple! Click here for the Rail Track Online Timetable or call national enquiries on 08457 484950. There are no trains back to Wrexham on the night of the game.

Beer: There are two pubs near by with the Coach & Horses closest to the ground on Main Ridge. It serves the locally brewed Batemans Ales but being a small pub it does get crowded on match days. The other pub is the Wellington also located further down main Ridge and serves Mansfield Bitter. The Social Club behind the York Street Stand is only likely to admit away supporters that are official members of Wrexham Supporters club (i.e. you have got your membership card!). On the plus side the ground is only five minutes from the ground (see directions from the station) and recommended pubs include The Eagle near the station in West Street and The Still in Market Place, as well as any Batemans pubs.
Grub: The Eagle Chippy on the corner of Main Ridge does good trade on match days.
Cash Machines: The nearest machines are all under a quarter-a-mile away in the town centre. On market Place you will find a Halifax, Nationwide Barclays, and LloydsTSB. On High Street you will find a HSBC

Boston United Wrexham
Boston boss Neil Thompson is hopeful that Richard Logan, Neil Redfearn and Mark Greaves will shake off knocks in time to face Wrexham.

All three picked up slight knee injuries in Saturday's draw with Torquay and face late fitness tests.

Paul Bastock played for the full 90 minutes at Torquay despite cracking his head against a post during the match, and Thompson insists he will get the go-ahead.

Boston have no suspensions.

Injuries: Paul Whitfield and Mark Jones picked up knocks in training on Tuesday and both are unavailable. They join Hector Sam, Shaun Pejic and Waynne Phillips on the sidelines.
Suspensions: None
Squad (18): Dibble, Rogers, Carey, Morgan, Roberts, Lawrence, Edwards, Edwards, Holmes, Spender, Thomas, Ferguson, Whitley, Green, Barrett, Morrell, Trundle, Jones.
Other News: Denis Smith will same the same side that started against York providing Carlos Edwards and Dennis Lawrence are back in time from international duty. If they are back then Wrexham will line up with Andy Dibble in goal; a back three of Brian Carey, Steve Roberts and Dennis Lawrence; a midfielder three of Darren Ferguson, Jim Whitley and Scott Green with Carlos Edwards as right back and Paul Edwards on the left; upfront will be Andy Morrell and Lee Trundle.
