Travel Guide

Directions from Wrexham: Head north on the A483, A55, M53 onto the M56 eastbound towards Warrington. Leave the M56 at junction 9 joining the M6 Northbound for 119 miles leaving a junction 43. Head west off the M6 on the A69 following signs for Carlisle for about two miles and the ground will become visible on your right after passing through the second set of lights.
Car Parking: There is a large car pack with 1,000 spaces at the ground. To locate it turn right into Victoria Place 200 yards after the ground and take the first right into St Aidans Road. There is a sharp turn in the road near the Stonyholme Golf Club and you will enter the car. The alternative is street parking if you arrive early by turn left at the lights near the ground and parking in the limited spaces on Greystone Road or side streets.
By Train: Nearest Train Station is Carlisle although there are no trains back on the evening of the game. The station is 1.5 miles from the ground and will take you a 15 minute walk to get there. You can also jump into a taxi, of which there are plenty outside the station, and this will set you back around £2.50. If you prefer to travel by foot walk out of the station and over the lights and then walk around The Crescent. Follow the road round to the left and then turn right onto Warwick Road. Continue down Warwick Road and after about a mile the ground will be on your left. Click here for the Rail Track Online Timetable or call national enquiries on 08457 484950.

Bus Station: The main station is a short distance from the train station and the Lanes Shopping Centre. A number 70 to Durranhill stops outside the ground.
Beer and Grub: You will find the Beehive just past the ground and although it is predominantly used by home fans it does allow in a small number of away supporters. If travelling from the station the first pub you will come along is The Griffin with its plus point being cheep beer. Other pubs is the White House which is reinventing itself as a family pub after being 'quite rough'! If you are stuck for time then the new East Stand has a bar. Chips shops in the town centre offer something different, like haggis and lack pudding in batter, and the Ground food has improved dramatically in recent seasons.
Cash Machines: When heading in off the M6 on the A69 you will pass a Tesco's and the nearest cash point is located here. After that the nearest is located near the town centre after just entering Warwick Road.

Ground Information

Tickets must be purchased from Wrexham FC as cash is not accepted on the turnstiles and full league prices apply to this game.
General: After ambitious plans to redevelop Brunton Park were shelved before the pitch could be moved back 10 yards the away end on the side of the pitc is located behind one goal! As with a new stand the facilities are a lot better than most Division three Grounds. The only disappointing fact is that reduced prices are not being offered for the game especially as we return to Carlisle on Saturday.
Ticket Office: 01228 526237
Seats: In blocks 1 and 2 of the East stand. Tickets must be purchased in advance costing £13.00 for Adults and £8 for concessions. Entrance is via turnstiles 17 - 21 at the northern end of the stand.

Admission is free for the disabled and one helper and there is designated parking spaces in the main car park. Everything must be booked in advance through the number above.

Match Build Up

Team News

Carlisle United Wrexham
Craig Farrell will play for Carlisle against Wrexham in the LDV Vans Trophy quarter-final at Brunton Park. Farrell missed the goalless draw with Scunthorpe in the FA Cup after failing to make his loan move from Leeds permanent in time. But he will return against Wrexham after signing a three-year contract with the club. Will McDonagh is available after a ban, but Des Byrne misses out with a back injury. Mark Hudson is cup-tied after playing for Chesterfield in the competition, while Lee Maddison and Peter Murphy play their last match before a one-game suspension. Wrexham captain Brian Carey is likely to be fit to face Carlisle, but only at the second attempt. Defender Carey injured his Achilles against Hull on 30 November but has been making steady progress back to full fitness. Wrexham manager Denis Smith is unlikely to risk Carey for the LDV Vans Trophy game, preferring to save the player for next Saturday's league game at Carlisle.
