Travel Guide

Directions from Wrexham: Head north on the A483, A55, M53 and then M56 eastbound towards Warrington. At junction 9 head north on the M6 northbound where there will be delays due to contra flows at Thelwall Viaduct (Junctions 20-21a). Leave the M6 at junction 22 taking the A572 Winwick lane towards Leigh and then right onto the A580 (signposted Manchester). Turn left onto the A579 (signposted Bolton, Pennington Flash). At the lights with ASDA on your left turn right, and then right again into Globe Street. Turn right once more into Chadwick street and the ground will be straight ahead.
Car Parking: Spaces at the ground and street parking.
By Train: Nearest Train Station is Atherton and is three miles away from the ground, so your best bet is a taxi. The last train back stops at Chester but you have to be at Atherton Station by 21:43 and this could be a problem as the ground is three miles away. If the game goes into extra time you also have no chance. Click here for the Rail Track Online Timetable or call national enquiries on 08457 484950.

Match Build Up

Team News

Leigh RMI Wrexham
Injuries: John Robertson is the only fresh doubt after picking up a calf strain on the weekend against Northwich. Injuries: Andy Dibble has still not recovered with Jim Whitley and Andy Morrell both sitting out with slight knocks and not being risked ahead of the FA Cup on Saturday. Steve Roberts and Waynne Phillips are injured.
Suspensions: None. Suspensions: None.
Last Line Up: . S. Coburn; N. Durkin, I. Monk, J Robertson, N Fitzhenry; G Kielty, W Maden, P Salt, G Harrison; D Maamria, S Whittaker. Subs: G Courtney, N Tolson, L Blakeman, P Williams, N Fisher. Squad (17): Whitfield, Rogers, Lawrence, Morgan, Bennett, Carey, Ferguson, Thomas, Barrett, Jones, Edwards, Edwards, Holmes, Sam, Trundle, Jones, Spender.
One to Watch: Dino Maamna - top scorer with eleven goals to his name. No Doubt David Lovett will lead on how he is dino-mite in the box and plans to blast his way through the Wrexham defence! Plus Simon Whitaker who signed from Chester last week. Other News: Dennis Smith will make changes in the defence with Shaun Pejic rested after playing in every game this season including under 21 matches. Craig Morgan will make his first start and Dennis Lawrence will get a run out alongside Dan Bennett with Brian Carey dropping to the bench. Paul Whitfield continues in goal with Andy Dibble still out and Kristian Rogers as cover on the bench. Jim Whitley misses out with a knock so Paul Barrett gets a recall to play alongside Darren Ferguson and Steve Thomas in midfield. Carlos Edwards will be on the right and Paul Edwards should get a recall ahead of Shaun Holmes on the left after his match winner on the weekend. Andy Morrell also misses out with a knock and Hector Sam is favourite over Lee Jones to play alongside Lee Trundle up front.
