Travel Guide

Directions from Wrexham: Please note you will need 20 pence to complete your journey! Depart Wrexham north on the A483 and then follow the A55 onto the M53 leaving at junction 11 onto M56 eastbound towards Warrington. Leave the M56 at junction 9 heading north on the M6 until junction 21a where you pick up the M62 eastbound towards Manchester. When the M62 turns into the M62 continue northbound towards West Yorkshire and pick up the M62 when it reverts back to this motorway. Cross the Pennines and leave the M62 at junction 31 picking up the A1 southbound and continue on this road when it becomes the A1(M) at junction 38. Leave at the junction with A57, the roundabout after the Fina and Shell garages, heading eastbound towards Lincoln. The A57 is a toll road and after 6.6 miles this is where you will require your 20 pence to continue your journey across the toll bridge towards Lincoln. Continue on the A57 until you reach the roundabout with the A46 and here turn right onto the A46. Head over the first roundabout and at the next turn left onto the B1190 where you will see signs for the stadium. After going through a level crossing and at the T-junction after 2 miles turn left onto the A1434 Newark Road and stay on this road following signs for Lincoln and the city centre. At the roundabout (make sure you are in the left hand lane) take the first exit into the B1262 High Street and after about half a mile, get into the right-hand lane and go straight over the traffic lights. About 100 metres further on, turn right into Scorer St., cross the Sincil Drain, then fourth right into Cross St. The ground is straight ahead.
Car Parking: The only parking at the ground is behind the Stacey West Stand costing £3.00 but you must arrive early for a space. Alternatively you can follow signs for Away Coaches and this takes you onto the A158 South Park Avenue where you will find plenty of street parking and on South Common. The other option is to use the city centre car parks.
By Train: Nearest Train Station is Lincoln Central and is within walking distance. Turn right out of the station and head down the road and after 30 yards on your right you will see some steps leading to a bridge crossing the railway. Head over this bridge and follow the road down to the ground. If you want to take in some pubs on the way you are better off turning left out of the station onto the High Street and walking over the railway level crossing. You will pass numerous pubs on the high street (see below) and to find the ground turn left into Scorer Street. Follow this road until you come to a bridge and after crossing the Sincil Drain river turn immediately right onto Sincil Bank and the ground will be in view. Bus Station: The bus station is opposite the train station so directions as above and it is within walking distance.
Beer: The Centre Spot Social Club is located in the rear of the Mundy South Bank Stand and costs £1.00 to centre and welcomes visiting supporters. There are two bars, SKY TV and the hot pork and stuffing rolls come highly recommended. For the other pubs you have to look no further than the High Street. The Golden Eagle is located here and is five minutes away from the ground. It is the home of the travel association and has a good atmosphere, which is helped with cheap ale. The Ritzy on the High Street is a typical Weatherspoons pub that has been converted from a cinema - the usual good value beer and quality food as expected from a Weatherpsoons but does lack any football atmosphere. As does the The Blandings ten minute away but is OK if you want a quiet drink and a bite to eat. Also recommended are the George & Dragon where the atmosphere is good.
Grub: The usual chippies, bakeries and takeaways are found in the city centre but your best bet is to use one of the pubs plus the hot pork and stuffing rolls from the Social Club. Inside the ground the food is of high quality with a variety of food on offer including pies, burgers and bacon rolls. Drinks are also good as well.
Cash Machines: Usual banks on the High Street and in the City Centre.

Team News

Lincoln City Wrexham
Injuries: Strikers Simon Yeo and Dene Cropper are still out injured and Shayne Bradley and Matt Bloomer are doubtful with calf and rib knocks respectively. Injuries: Steve Thomas is the latest injury and could be out for a month with hamstring trouble sustained against Shrewsbury in midweek.
Suspensions: None. Suspensions: None.
Squad: Not released. Squad (17): Dibble, Roberts, Carey, Lawrence, C Edwards, P Edwards, Green, Ferguson, Whitley, Trundle, Morrell, Holmes, Jones, Rogers, Morgan, Pejic, Barrett.
Other News: New loan signing Daniel Webb is set to start up front after joining from Hull City in midweek. This is Lincoln's major problem as they have already have two strikers ruled out along with doubts over Shayne Bradley. Mark Bailey is available again after injury and he could go straight back into the team on the right if Matt Bloomer does not recover in time. Central defenders Paul Morgan and Simon Weaver have been playing with knocks in recent weeks but now look to have overcome their injuries and are now fully fit. Other News: Dennis Lawrence is back after suspension and go straight into the defence alongside Brian Carey and Steve Roberts with Shaun Pejic dropping to the bench. Scott Green replaces the injured Steve Thomas in midfield to link up with Darren Ferguson and Jim Whitley. Elsewhere it is unchanged with Andy Dibble in goal, Carlos Edwards at right wing back and Paul Edwards on the left, with Andy Morrell and lee Trundle up front.
