Denis Smith: "We gave away a sloppy goal away and then it was a matter of them trying to soak up pressure, which they did. Beside the shot at the end, I think it was the only other time they had been in our area, which was disappointing! If it had been a Boxing match, it would have been stopped you well before end. They have now taken four points out of us over the two games, when we have out played them on both occasions. Maybe at times we are too honest for our own good! There were things in the game that I wasn’t happy with, but they would get me into trouble if I said them, so I won’t. In the past, the only other time I have seen this kind of game is usually when with a Premier team is playing a Third Division side, or vice versa, but very rarely when two teams are from the same level. The players know what I think and I know what I think, but at the moment I don’t really want to add to that. We have had a lot of chances and should have scored more. A lot of pressure in the right areas, with the final ball, and there were a lot of things I was pleased with from our team. I will not criticise the players, because this was a game we should have won. I’m frustrated because of the way the game has been." [Source: Wrexham AFC]
