Denis Smith: "Ozzie scores them like that regularly in training and Steve Roberts' wasn't bad either, was it? It's good to come back with a win, especially against a team who knocked us out last season. I thought we were better at the back tonight. Steve Roberts had a superb game tonight."
Mick Wadsworth: “I’m disappointed we’ve lost, not particularly disappointed with performance because we created enough to win the game. First half we had most of the play and created good situations. We got through on the goalkeeper three times and had endless corners that we should have made more of. We actually lost the game on set plays and that was disappointing. I can’t cane the boys though, because I thought we played good football, we counter-attacked well. To be fair, it was a wonderful free-kick to win the game. It was worthy of winning any game. We put ourselves in a great position tonight when we got ourselves back to 1-1. We had the best opportunity then and then you go and kill the game, but we were chasing. It’s disappointing but not a disaster by any stretch of the imagination - I’d trade it for a League win on Saturday.”
