TRAVEL GUIDE

For your comprehensive guide to visiting Wrexham see RP's Racecourse Essentials
Alternative Route from M6 J16 and Stoke via Crewe: Head towards Crewe on the A500 for approximately 9 miles, then onto the A51 for approximately 1.5 miles, and finally onto the A534. After approximately 5.5 miles at the junction of the A49 head onto the A49 for 350 yards and back onto the A534 towards Wrexham. After approximately 13 miles you have two options at the roundabout at the junction of the A5156. You can stay on the A534 and head towards Wrexham Town Centre but the easiest option is to turn right onto the A5156 for approximately 2 miles. At the roundabout leave at the second exit to join the A483. Leave the A483 at the next exit after approximately 1.5 miles, which is the junction of the A541 signposted Wrexham and Mold. Take the first left at the roundabout and the ground is head of you on your left.

MATCH BUILDUP
TEAM NEWS
Wrexham Port Vale
Injuries: Carlos Edwards is the major concern for Denis Smith after straining ankle ligaments at Hartlepool in midweek. It was feared that he could be out for a month but the wingback is now confident of playing. Injuries: Michael Walsh is out with abdominal injuries that ahve troubled him over the past month.
Suspensions: None. Suspensions: None.
Squad (17): Dibble, Whitfield, Carey, Lawrence, Roberts, Morgan, C Edwards, P Edwards, Holmes, Ferguson, Thomas, Whitley, Crowell, M Jones, L Jones, Llewellyn, Sam. Squad (17): Delaney, Pilkington, Collins, Burns, Brown, Cummins, Lipa, Boyd, Armstrong, McPhee, Paynter, Brooker, Brisco, Bridge-Wilkinson, Brain, Birchall, Littlejohn.
Other News: Denis Smith has hinted that he is going to give Steve Roberts his first start of the season alongside Brian Carey and Dennis Lawrence in defence with Shaun Pejic dropping down to the bench. Midfield depends on the fitness of Carlos Edwards. If he plays then Jim Whitley Darren Ferguson and Steve Thomas will continue but if Carlos is out then Matt Crowell should make his first start on the right or in midfield with Whitley or Thomas moving out onto the wing. Alternatively, Smith may change the system with hector Sam getting a start. The left wing back is a straight choice between Shaun Holmes and Paul Edwards with Lee Jones and Chris Llewellyn up front. Andy Dibble continues in goal. Other News: Port Vale should have Steve Broker available for the visit to the Racecourse but he is unlikely to break the partnership of Steve McPhee and Billy painter as both strikers have found recent form. Broker will face a fitness test on Saturday morning but is expected to come through this and Andreas Lipa should recover form an ankle injury he picked up in the midweek win over Peterborough. Brian Horton is anticipated to name an unchanged side.
