Directions from the North: Leave the M6 at Junction 20a to join the M56 towards Chester and then onto the M53 towards Chester and Wrexham at junction 15. Follow the M53 onto the A55 leaving at junction 35 turning left onto the A483 to Wrexham. Leave the A483 at the junction of A541 turning right towards Wrexham Town Centre. The Racecourse will be straight ahead over the next roundabout.

Car Parking: NEWI College just before the ground and a local car park just before the Shell Garage on the opposite side of the road and both cost around £2.00. Free parking is available on the two retail parks by turning left or right at the second roundabout but do not park in ALDI or you will get clamped!
By Train: Wrexham General is next to the ground and there is a service every two hours between Chester and Shrewsbury. There is also an hourly service between Wrexham and Liverpool. Click here for the Network Rail Online Timetable or call national enquiries on 08457 484950.

Get Train Times

By Bus: Wrexham Bus Station is only a five minute walk from the ground but if you want to catch a bus to the ground then use a number 11, 18a or 21 bus. If you prefer to walk then turn left out of the bus station and turn right at to the end of this road. Then walk through to set of lights and the ground will be ahead of you just past Wrexham General Train Station. For enquiries call 01978 363760.

Injuries: Chris Armstrong picked up an Achillies injury in training but should be fit. Paul Barrett is out with a thigh strain and Steve Roberts only returned to training this week and is not match fit. Injuries: Stuart Howson is out for three weeks with a knee injury and Mark Innes has been sent to Lilleshall for treatment on an abductor strain.

Other News: Expect no surprises in Wrexham's line up with the team shaping up much like last season except for the changes up front. Andy Dibble is still first choice and will start ahead of Paul Whitfield and with Steve Roberts out, expect Craig Morgan to get the nod to start alongside Dennis Lawrence and Brian Carey in defence. In midfield Steve Thomas will play with Darren Ferguson and Jim Whitley with Carlos and Paul Edwards at right and left wing backs respectively. The new signings of Chris Armstrong and Chris Llewellyn are start up front but Lee Jones is on standby if Armstrong does not recover from injury. Other News: New summer signing Gus Ulhenbeek from Brentford will make his full debut in defence and fellow new recruit Ian Evatt is also in contention for a starting place. Experienced striker David Reeves, who almost joined Brentford this week, will feature at some point at the Racecourse.

Chesterfield will not be wearing their all black away kit for the match and will instead where white shirts to reflect the heat in the heat wave forecasted for the weekend.
