Then turn right into cross Street where you will find plenty of street parking and a school car park on your left. There is also a car park next to Manor College at the top of Ashgate Road and the town centre car parks are nearby.
By Train: On exiting the station follow the path that leads past the Chesterfield Hotel and then cross over the footbridge past the Pomegranate Theatre on your left and bear right at the Crooked Spire. Follow this road past a department store on your left and you will enter Saltergate in 400 yards and the ground is at the far end of this road on your left. If should be noted that it is usual for police to round up away fans at the station and escort them directly to the ground. I will just remind you that you are visiting Chesterfield not Baghdad!

Away Travel Club: No details published.
By Bus: No need as the ground is only a few minutes from the town centre.
Places to Drink: The local constabulary normally direct away fans to the back of the ground to the Chesterfield Arms and Industry plus a few other. That means the Local Heroes Pub, Gardeners Arms, Barley Mow and The County Hotel all on Saltergate are home fans only especially if you are in colours. In the town centre the Market Tavern sells real ale as does the Derby Pub tub but located on Sheffield Road it is a bit out of the way. The town centre has all the national chains including two Weatherspoons as well as the Royal oak which is 800 years old!
Places to Eat: there is no chippy near by and you are left withe the usual Burger King, McDonalds and KFC in the town centre.
Cash Machines: On Rose Hill you will find a Barclays, LloydsTSB and Derbyshire BS, and Market Place has a HSBC and Nat  West. All are under 1/2 a mile away.

TICKET AND GROUND INFO

General: Away fans are allocated the 450 'seats' in the Main Stand. The word seat is used loosely as they are in fact wooden benches. The view is not the best with supporting pillars obstructing some seats. Also the facilities are poor. If demand requires it then the open Cross Street terrace has space for a further 800 spaces. The town itself is generally relaxed but the police are known to go over the top often filming supporters before, during and after games.
Ticket Office: 01246 209765
Seats: Main Stand - Adults £15.00, Concessions £9.00
Standing: Cross Street Terrace - Adults £13.00, Concessions £9.00
Disabled Facilities: There is no parking at the ground but it is possible to drop disabled supporters off and then park your car at the nearby school playground. The facilities in the ground is not to better either with toilets and refreshment kiosks, which are not assisted, located on the other side of the stand. There are 20 Wheelchair spaces with 5 for away fans located in a tin covered shelter at the Saltergate end of the Main Stand. The helper sits in the stand behind but that means you will be sitting with the home fans.
Programme and Fanzines: Official programme costs £2.00.

MATCH BUILDUP
TEAM NEWS

Chesterfield

Wrexham
Injuries: Celeb Folan is in rehab, Steve Payne is also regaining his fitness and Matt O'Halloran is out with a hamstring injury. Mark Smith is also out with a ankle injury but part form these long term injuries, Chesterfield have no further problems. Injuries: Lee Jones and Shaun Pejic are ruled out with hamstring injuries whilst Shaun Holmes will not travel due to a toe injury, as will Steve Roberts due to his hip. Paul Edwards will have a fitness test on his hamstring before the match and there remains concerns on Andy Dibble (flu) and Darren Ferguson (groin)
Suspensions: Mark Hudson. Suspensions: Steve Thomas.
Squad: Muggleton, O'Hare, Uhlenbeek, Blatherwick, Allott, Brandon, Evatt, Niven, Innes, Hurst, Howson, Davies, Dawson, Robinson, Reeves, Richmond, McMaster. Squad (17): Dibble, Whitfield, Carey, Lawrence, Morgan, McNulty, C Edwards, P Edwards, Ferguson, Whitley, Barrett, Crowell, Spender, Sam, Llewellyn, Armstrong, M Jones.
Other News: Unlike his counterpart Denis Smith, Roy Mcaralne does not have any selection problems as he looks to see his side bounce back from the trouncing at Plymouth last week. The squad has been boosted with the arrival of on loan Leeds striker Jamie McMaster but there will be at least one change with captain Mark Hudson suspended. Other News: Wrexham's team selection depends on the fitness tests tomorrow. The definite starters are Hector Sam and Chris Llewellyn up front, and Dennis Lawrence and Brian Carey in defence. If Andy Dibble does not recover from the flu then Paul Whitfield covers in goal and Denis Smith has hinted that Jim Whitley will take the final spot in defence although Craig Morgan would be the ideal choice. The midfield depends on Darren Ferguson's fitness and if Whitley features in defence. If both these occur then Matt Crowell and Mark Jones are available and Paul Edwards is hopeful of passing his fitness test to play on the left whilst Carlos Edwards is fit to play on the right. Paul Barrett is fit for the final spot in midfield and Chris Armstrong is on the bench.
