MATCH BUILDUP
TEAM NEWS
Port Vale Wrexham
Injuries: Steve Brooker (groin), Micky Cummins (ankle) and Craig James (ankle) will all have fitness tests prior to the match. Injuries: Andy Dibble (broken arm), Hector Sam (hamstring), Mark Jones (knee ligaments) and Shaun Pejic (calf) are long term injuries and have been joined on the sidelines by youth centre halves Jimmy McNulty and Wayne Leather after the pair picked up ankle knocks. Carlos Edwards, Brian Carey and Steve Roberts will have fitness tests on Saturday morning.
Suspensions: None. Suspensions: Darren Ferguson and Craig Morgan.
Squad (20): Brain, Burns, Rowland, James, Pilkington, Cummins, Bridge-Wilkinson, McPhee, Lipa, Brisco, Paynter, Eldershaw, Armstrong, Birchall, Reid, Delaney, Collins, Pilkington, Littlejohn, Brooker.

Squad (18): Ingham, Whitfield, Roberts, Carey, Lawrence, Spender, C Edwards, P Edwards, Holmes, Whitley, Barrett, Thomas, Crowell, Mackin, Quinn, Armstrong, Llewellyn, L Jones.
Other News: The good news for manager Martin Foyle is that Defensive duo Sam Collins (rested) and George Pilkington (neck), as well as striker Adrian Littlejohn (calf) are all in contention after missing last weekend's defeat against rock-bottom Wycombe. Other News: Mike Ingham continues in goal and the outfield ten will depend on the results of the three fitness tests on the morning of the game. Dennis Lawrence is fit and will hopefully will be joined by Steve Roberts and Brian Carey but if they do not make it then Denis Smith will have to use make shift players. Jim Whitley has had a timely return from injury and could slot in the back three with the other realistic options are Shaun Holmes or Simon Spender. Jim Whitley would have been a preferred choice in midfield with Darren Ferguson suspended but that place may go to Matt Crowell to join Paul Barrett and Steve Thomas in the middle of the park. If Carlos Edwards is not past fit then Steve Thomas will move out to the right wing as cover and Paul Edwards will be on the left. Chris Armstrong and Chris Llewellyn will have some ressure on them will Lee Jones available again on the bench.
