MATCH BUILDUP
TEAM NEWS

Blackpool

Opposition
Loan signing Brad Jones will make his debut in goal for Blackpool when Wrexham visit Bloomfield Road.

The Middlesbrough keeper is handed an early chance by Blackpool boss Steve McMahon as Phil Barnes is suspended following his dismissal at Crystal Palace in the Carling Cup.

Midfielder Richie Wellens (virus) and defender Gareth Evans (hamstring) are both ruled out, but otherwise McMahon has a full-strength squad to choose from.
Injuries: Shaun Holmes is out with a groin strain and Chris Armstrong is lacking fitness to feature in three games within the space of six days.
Suspensions: None.
Squad (17): Dibble, Whitfield, Carey, Pejic, Lawrence, Morgan, Roberts, Whitley, Barrett, Ferguson, C Edwards, Crowell, M Jones, Llewellyn, Sam, L Jones.
Other News: With Paul Edwards out of compassionate leave the last thing Denis Smith wanted was Shaun Holmes pulling out with a groin strain as he now has no cover on the left flank. Steve Thomas has played on the left of three midfielders in the past and it will come as no surprise if he has to play out on the flank of alternatively Carlos Edwards could swap flanks with Thomas coming in on the right. Denis Smith then has further options and is likely to make changes from the team that crashed out of the cup on the weekend. There are just too many permutations to even attempt to guess the likely starting line up!
