Car Parking: There is a large car park at the ground off Pontefract Road and this costs £2.50 with spaces allocated on a first come first serve basis. There is another large car park at the end of Queens Road and this backs onto the away entrance but can take  a while to get out of on the way home..
By Train: The station is a couple of miles away and a cab will cost you around £4.00. There are bus services to the ground but it has been known for some fans to get some stick on these services. Look out for bus numbers 115, 116 and 117 and get off on Pontefract Road. It will take only 15 minutes to walk and on leaving the station turn left away from the town centre and go under the bridge that the dual carriage way goes over. Then turn left up the slip road and take the first road on the right and head towards the Metro Dome leisure complex. At the top of the hill the ground will be in sight and follow the roads and crowd towards the stadium.

Beer and Grub: Reports coming back from visits to Barnsley have been negative with pubs to avoid named as the Mount on Pontefract Road, and in the town centre The Yorkshireman, the Old Courtyard and the Emporium. Places mentioned are the Outpost on Sheffield Road and the Metro Dome Leisure centre has a bar which serves good food. The general opinion is to take care and it is noticeable that the official site only advertises that 'there are plenty places to eat around the ground' and does not mention any pubs.
