MATCH PREVIEW
THE MATCH

Wrexham Team News: There appears to be light at the end of the Wrexham injury tunnel with no concerns reported from the midweek win over Notts County and with Darren Ferguson recovered from a thigh strain the first team is starting to resemble just that. Chris Armstrong will have to come through a Friday training session and the striker is confident of doing that but the same cannot be said for Dennis Lawrence who is still struggling with a twisted knee sustained at Tranmere two weeks ago. Andy Dibble and Carlos Edwards remain out. Matt Baker continues in goal with the rested Brian Carey recalled to the back three at the expense of Craig Morgan to join Shaun Pejic and Steve Roberts. Darren Ferguson, Danny Williams and Alex Smith make up the midfield with Dean Bennett and Andy Holt as wingbacks. Any two from Chris Llewellyn, Hector Sam and Chris Armstroing will be up front although the fitness of the latter may mean Armstrong will have to settle for a place on the bench.

Opposition Team News: Doncaster welcome back Dave Morley and Tim Ryan after their recovery from hernia and foot injuries respectively.  However, Stephen Foster faces several weeks on the sidelines after damaging ankle ligaments, and Gregg Blundell and Simon Marples are not match fit.

Officials: The match referee is Paul Armstrong from Berkshire and he is assisted by Richard Holdsworth of West Yorkshire and Mick McDonough of Tyne and Wear. So far this season Paul Armstrong has refereed 11 games and has sent off 4 players and issued 31 yellow cards, at an average of 2.8 per game.

Weather: Sunny intervals are forecasted (thank god as there is no roof!) with temperatures reaching a maximum of 15 degrees Celsius and a 15 mph south westerly wind

The Bookies View: Doncaster are best priced at 11/10 with UK Betting, Paddy Power and Total Bet with Stan James offering 3/1 for a Wrexham win. Premier Bet and Sky Bet are offering 12/5 for the draw.
