TRAVEL GUIDE

Directions from Wrexham: Leave Wrexham on the A483 towards Chester picking up the A55 eastbound and then the M53. Leave the M53 at junction 11 turning right onto the M56 eastbound. Continue on the M56 towards Manchester passing the M6 interchange and at junction 3 take the left hand lanes continuing on the M56 towards Stockport. Pick up the M60 anti clockwise towards Stockport at junction 1 leaving the M60 at junction 24 turning right at the roundabout onto the M67. At the end of the M67 take the first exit onto the A57 and then pick up the A628 heading forward at the traffic lights following signs for Sheffield. Follow this road for just over 24 miles going and at the roundabout with the M1 take the second exit continuing on the A628 and then take left hand lanes immediately. At the traffic signals with the A6133 continue straight on the A628 and you will now pick up brown signs for Barnsley FC. In just under a mile take the first exit at the roundabout to join the A61 to Sheffield and then head down hill whilst moving into right hand lanes for the next set of lights. After passing through the second set of lights turn right still following signs 'A61 Sheffield'. After branching under the bridge take left hand lanes to head up the steep hill that is Bala Street and this will take you to the ground. Distance = 87 miles; Time = 2 hours.

This car is adjacent to the away end and from the directions above the car park entrance is on your right after reaching the top of the hill. It can take a while to leave after the game and there is another car park on Pontefract Road (A628) and this cist £2.50.
By Train: The station is a couple of miles away and a cab will cost you around £4.00. There are bus services to the ground but it has been known for some fans to get some stick on these services. Look out for bus numbers 115, 116 and 117 and get off on Pontefract Road. It will take only 15 minutes to walk and on leaving the station turn left away from the town centre and go under the bridge that the dual carriage way goes over. Then turn left up the slip road and take the first road on the right and head towards the Metro Dome leisure complex. At the top of the hill the ground will be in sight and follow the roads and crowd towards the stadium.

MATCH PREVIEW
THE MATCH

Wrexham Team News: Wrexham have been boosted with the return of Darren Ferguson from suspension along with the three Trinidadian internationals - Carlos Edwards, Dennis Lawrence and Hector Sam - fully recovered from their international duties last week although Wrexham remain without Andy Dibble, Brian Carey, Simon Spender, Danny Williams and Jim Whitley. Ben Foster will continue in goal with Dennis Lawrence returning to the starting line up to play alongside Steve Roberts and Craig Morgan although Roberts did take a knock late on against Bournemouth and this may result in Sean Pejic retaining his starting position. Darren Ferguson will be recalled to the starting line up to partner Mark Jones and Matt Crowell in midfield at the expense of Scott Green. Andy Holt will be at left wing back although Carlos Edwards' position on the right could be under pressure from Dean Bennett after he did not have the best of games on the weekend, although the extra rest may see him retaining his position. Denis Smith has four options up front but it would be surprising if Chris Armstrong or Hector Sam will displace Chris Llewellyn and Juan Ugarte.

Wrexham Squad (19):
Foster, Harrison, Morgan, Pejic, Lawrence, Roberts, Edwards, Holt, Mackin, Smith, Mark Jones, Bennett, Ferguson, Green, Crowell, Armstrong, Ugarte, Sam, Llewellyn.

Barnsley Team News: Andy Ritchie is without Tom Williams after the defender picked up an ankle injury on Saturday and he will be replaced by Robbie Williams at left back. Paul Reid is also a possibility to start but Matt Carbon will have to settle for a place on the bench.
Antony Kay, Tom Baker, Scott Flinders and Stephen McPhail also picked up knocks in the defeat at Hull City but all should recover in time for kick off.

Officials: The match referee is Nigel Miller form County Durham and he is assisted by Paul Curry from Northumberland and Mark Tilling from Cleveland. Nigel Miller has refereed 31 games this season sending off 6 players and booking 98 at an average of 3.16 per game.

Weather: Cloudy with temperatures dropping to 6 degrees Celsius and a 9 mph south westerly wind.

The Bookies View: Barnsley are odds on at 5/6 with Stand James with Wrexham best priced at 4/1 with Bet Odd or Even. The draw is on offer at 12/5 with VC Bet, Sporting Odds, Stanley Bet, Bet 365, Premier Bet and Tote Sport.
