TRAVEL GUIDE

WARNING: The A483 is a notorious speed trap for the police and there is a speed camera when you reach the ground - so keep your speed below 30 mph.
For your comprehensive guide to visiting Wrexham see RP's Racecourse Essentials
From the North: Leave the M6 at Junction 20a and turn onto the M56 Westbound towards Chester and North Wales. Leave the M56 at Junction 15 and turn left onto the M53 towards Chester. After approximately 3 miles the M53 becomes the A55. After approximately 5.5 miles leave the A55 at junction 36 and turn left onto the A483 towards Wrexham. After approximately 8.5 miles leave the A483 at the Junction of the A541 signposted Wrexham and Mold. Take the first left at the roundabout and straight over the next roundabout and the ground is ahead of you on your left.
From the South: Leave the M6 at Junction 10a turning left onto the M54. After approximately 21 miles the M54 becomes the A5. Stay on the A5 passing Shrewsbury and when you reach Oswestry turn right at the roundabout (An ESSO Service Station will be on your left), staying on the A5. At the junction of the A5 and the A483 (An McDonalds Drive Through will be on your right) go straight on at the roundabout to join the A483 signposted Wrexham. After approximately 8 miles leave the A483 at the junction of the A541 signposted Wrexham and Mold. At the roundabout turn right towards Wrexham and after going straight over the next roundabout the ground is ahead of you on your left.
Alternative Route from M6 J16 and Stoke via Crewe: Head towards Crewe on the A500 for approximately 9 miles, then onto the A51 for approximately 1.5 miles, and finally onto the A534. After approximately 5.5 miles at the junction of the A49 head onto the A49 for 350 yards and back onto the A534 towards Wrexham. After approximately 13 miles you have two options at the roundabout at the junction of the A5156. You can stay on the A534 and head towards Wrexham Town Centre but the easiest option is to turn right onto the A5156 for approximately 2 miles. At the second roundabout leave at the second exit to join the A483. Leave the A483 at the next exit after approximately 1.5 miles, which is the junction of the A541 signposted Wrexham and Mold. Take the first left at the roundabout and straight over the next roundabout and the ground is ahead of you on your left.

MATCH PREVIEW
THE MATCH

Wrexham Team News: Wrexham are still with out Alex Smith who is suffering from Achilles trouble and he is joined on the sidelines by Brian Carey who picked up a knee injury during training this week. On the plus side Darren Ferguson and Jim Whitley are available are as Craig Morgan, Matt Crowell and Dennis Lawrence who have all returned OK from international duty, although Lawrence returned on Friday after his flight was delayed due to the airport in Trinidad being closed due to Hurricane Ivan. Taking all this into account then Andy Dibble will be in goal with Shaun Pejic most likely to replace Carey in defence to play alongside Steve Roberts and Dennis Lawrence. Midfield will see some changes with Denis Smith even reverting back to a three man midfield. Captain Darren Ferguson will be recalled alongside Danny Williams with Matt Crowell or Jim Whitley taking the last midfield spot. Whitley could be an option at right wing back but Dean Bennett is expected to retain his place in the absence of Carlos Edwards with Andy Holt unchanged on the left. As Chris Llewellyn has failed to score this season then it will be a real surprise if Denis Smith does not go with Hector Sam and Chris Armstrong up front.

Wrexham Squad (18): Dibble, Baker, Roberts, Lawrence, Pejic, Morgan, Bennett, Holt, Spender, Whitley, Ferguson, Williams, Crowell, Mackin, Armstrong, Llewellyn, Sam, Jones.

Opposition Team News: Bradford have no new injury or suspension worries ahead of their visit to The Racecourse and keeper Donovan Ricketts is available after he returned from international duty with Jamaica on Friday afternoon..

Officials: The match referee is Mark Warren from Walsall and he is assisted by Karl Evans of Greater Manchester and Neil Hancox of the West Midlands. Mark Warren has refereed only one game this season booking two players. Last season he booked 113 players in 33 games, at an average of 3.42 per game, and sent off 14 including Dennis Lawrence in the 1-0 over Barnsley at the Racecourse in February.

Weather: Light showers with a maximum temperature of 17 degrees Celsius with 13 mph south-westerly wind at a relative humidity of 64%.

The Bookies View: Wrexham are best priced at 6/5 with Bet Direct, Corals, Sky Bet and Super Odds. For a Bradford win then try Bet 365 or Tote Sport who both offer 9/4. The draw is best priced at 23/10 with Super Odds.
