TRAVEL GUIDE

Directions from Wrexham: Head south from Wrexham on the A483 and A5 past Shrewsbury onto the M54. If you want to risk the traffic jam on the M6 at Birmingham then continue on the M54 until it joins the M6 southbound at junction 10a and then continue on the M6 until it joins the M1 southbound. If you want to miss the traffic on the M6 use the toll road at a cost of £3. Leave the M54 at junction 1 turning left onto the A460 until you join the M6 toll road at junction T8 after passing the M6 junction 11 turn. At the end of the toll road rejoin the M6 towards London via the M42 and continue on the M6 until it merges with the M1 southbound at junction 19. Leave the M1 at junction 14 and at the roundabout take the third exit turning right onto the A509. Milton Keynes is full of roundabouts so it would be helpful if you hand some one counting with you as you continue on the the next EIGHT! - taking the third exit at the first then second exit at the rest. At the ninth roundabout (North Grafton) take the first exit turning left and the ground will be straight at head of you with entrance off, you guessed it, a roundabout! Distance = 150 miles, Time = 3 hours.

TICKET AND GROUND INFO

General: Away fans are given the West Stand located behind one goal, which is temporary seating with no roof. The East Stand, unsurprisingly is located opposite the away end, had a roof erected in October 2004 but there is no such luck for away fans who are fully exposed to the elements but for some reason golf umbrellas are not allowed in the stadium. The pitch was previously artificial for the hockey but this has now been laid with grass to comply with league rules. You will also have to purchase a ticket from the small office by the entrance as you cannot pay cash on the turnstile. The toilets are port-a-cabins with one fan reporting that you can see straight into the urinals from the outside and the food is served from two burger vans. Also be prepared to laugh at the request before the game to refrain from jumping about as it may cause structural problems!
Ticket Office: 01908 609000
Seats: West Stand - Adults £15, Concessions £10, Juniors £5. A ticket must be purchased from the small office by the turnstiles to enter the ground.
Standing: None - all seated.
Disabled Facilities: Not many details available with reports from other fans not too good. Parking from within stadium car park although this is the wrong end for away supporters. Access to stadium is easy with a port-a-loo toilet not really suitable for wheelchair users. the position in the corner of the away end is exposed to the element but be prepared for fans to cross your patch when they are making way to the catering and toilet facilities. Try and ask to be move d to the touch line when you can enjoy a good view of the game.
Programme and Fanzines: Official programme £2.50.

THE MATCH

Wrexham Team News: Darren Ferguson is out suspended after accumulating five yellow cards this season and this will force Denis Smith having to chose between Matt Crowell and Alex Smith as a replacement in midfield. Matt Crowell would be favourite for the starting place as Alex Smith only made a 90 minute comeback for the reserves in midweek. Elsewhere it is likely to remain unchanged with Andy Dibble continuing in goal with a back three of Shaun Pejic, Steve Roberts and Dennis Lawrence with Simon Spender and Andy Holt as wing backs. Juan Ugarte and Hector Sam will continue up front with Chris Llewellyn as a support man. Scot Green will be in midfield along with either Alex Smith or Matt Crowell. Wrexham are still without Brian Carey, Jim Whitley, Dean Bennett, Danny Williams and Carlos Edwards.
