For your comprehensive guide to visiting Wrexham see RP's Racecourse Essentials
From the North: Leave the M6 at Junction 20a and turn onto the M56 Westbound towards Chester and North Wales. Leave the M56 at Junction 15 and turn left onto the M53 towards Chester. After approximately 3 miles the M53 becomes the A55. After approximately 5.5 miles leave the A55 at junction 36 and turn left onto the A483 towards Wrexham. After approximately 8.5 miles leave the A483 at the Junction of the A541 signposted Wrexham and Mold. Take the first left at the roundabout and straight over the next roundabout and the ground is ahead of you on your left.
From the South: Leave the M6 at Junction 10a turning left onto the M54. After approximately 21 miles the M54 becomes the A5. Stay on the A5 passing Shrewsbury and when you reach Oswestry turn right at the roundabout (An ESSO Service Station will be on your left), staying on the A5. At the junction of the A5 and the A483 (An McDonalds Drive Through will be on your right) go straight on at the roundabout to join the A483 signposted Wrexham. After approximately 8 miles leave the A483 at the junction of the A541 signposted Wrexham and Mold. At the roundabout turn right towards Wrexham and after going straight over the next roundabout the ground is ahead of you on your left.
Alternative Route from M6 J16 and Stoke via Crewe: Head towards Crewe on the A500 for approximately 9 miles, then onto the A51 for approximately 1.5 miles, and finally onto the A534. After approximately 5.5 miles at the junction of the A49 head onto the A49 for 350 yards and back onto the A534 towards Wrexham. After approximately 13 miles you have two options at the roundabout at the junction of the A5156. You can stay on the A534 and head towards Wrexham Town Centre but the easiest option is to turn right onto the A5156 for approximately 2 miles. At the second roundabout leave at the second exit to join the A483. Leave the A483 at the next exit after approximately 1.5 miles, which is the junction of the A541 signposted Wrexham and Mold. Take the first left at the roundabout and straight over the next roundabout and the ground is ahead of you on your left.

MATCH PREVIEW
THE MATCH

Wrexham Team News: Wrexham welcome back Carlos Edwards to the squad after he made his comeback for the reserves on Wednesday and the wing back is joined by defender Steve Roberts and striker Chris Armstrong after both players served suspensions in midweek. Wrexham will be without skipper Darren Ferguson who damaged ankle ligaments in the same game and he is joined on the side lines by Alex Smith who has been hit low with a virus. Xavi Valero will make his home debut in goal with Steve Roberts replacing Craig Morgan in defence to join Shaun Pejic and Dennis Lawrence to form a back three. With Darren Ferguson out in midfield Scott Green will be recalled to start alongside Matt Crowell and Chris Llewellyn with Andy Holt on the left. Carlos Edwards is back in the squad but it will be surprising if he is recalled straight into the starting eleven after such an serious injury although Jim Whitley did not have a good game at Posh and Simon Spender is an option to start at right wing back. Juan Ugarte and Hector Sam did nothing wrong at Peterborough to warrant losing their places to Chris Armstrong who is back from suspension. Danny Williams, Brian Carey are still out whilst Dean Bennett only lacks match fitness.

Wrexham Squad (18): Valero, Michael Jones, Morgan, Pejic, Lawrence, Holt, Whitley, Crowell, Roberts, Edwards, Mackin, Spender, Mark Jones, Sam, Llewellyn, Ugarte, Green, Armstrong.

Tranmere Team News: Rovers manager Brian little has no fresh injury worries but is still without the services of injured striker Simon Howarth and goalkeeper John Achterberg who have leg and knee injuries respectively. Tranmere will stick with the 3-5-2 formation but there could be a change alongside striker Iain Hulme. Paul Hall started alongside the top goal scorer in the 1-0 defeat to Bristol City but Rovers ended the game with fellow strikers Eugene Dadi and Gary Jones on the pitch.

Officials: The match referee is Eddie Evans from Greater Manchester and he is assisted by Peter grove and Mark Weaver from the West Midlands. Eddie Evans has refereed 22 games this season sending off 4 players but has booked 76 players at an average of 3.45 per game.

Weather: Light rain with temperatures reaching a maximum of 11 degrees Celsius and a 13 mph southerly wind.

The Bookies View: Wrexham are best priced at 5/4 with VC Bet, Labrokes, Sporting Odds, UK betting, Bet Odd or Even, Premier Bet and Total Bet. Bet Direct and Super Odds are offering the Tranmere win at 21/10 with the draw best priced at 12/5 with bet Direct.
