TRAVEL GUIDE

Directions from Wrexham: Head south from Wrexham on the A483 and A5 past Oswestry and Shrewsbury. Pick up the M54 and continue to the end to join the M6 southbound at junction 10a. Approaching junction 8 of the M6 take left hand lanes to join the M5 southbound and at junction 4a of the M5 take right hand lanes to continue on the M5. Leave the M5 at junction 18 branching left and take right hand lanes to cross the M5 and the branch left at the junction to join the A4. Continue on this road, known locally as Portway, as it takes you under the impressive Clifton Suspension Bridge. The ground is now signposted from here but at the end of the A4 Portway bear right to join the A328 Brunel Way dual carriage way as it takes you over the river. At the junction with the A369/A370 branch left to continue of the A328 continuing in the inside lane as you go past the Mercedes Benz garage and the ground will be shortly on your left. The away end is located by travelling to the roundabout with the KFC with the entrance located 200 yards down the first exit. Distance = 161 miles; Time = 3 hours.

Car Parking: The limited parking behind the away end will set you back £5.00 and after that there is only street parking but watch out for any restrictions. The other option is the Winterstoke Road Industrial Estate located to the south of the ground.
By Train: The nearest station is Bristol Temple Meads but is too far to walk as it will take you around 45 minutes to get there! Jumping in a taxi is an option but these are expensive in Bristol so your best bet is to take a number 8 or 9 bus into the city centre. From the bus stop head across the padestrianised area past the fountains and then over the road to your right passing a bar called Sedan Chair. You will now come to another bus stop where you can catch a number 24 to the ground. If you get there for 2pm then you can catch the Abus Service A to the ground at a cost of 50p.

By Bus: The Abus Service A costs a flat rate of 50p and pick up an hour before kick off from the following locations - Temple Meads, Old Market (Temple Way), Haymarket, Centre, Anchor Road, Hotwells. The coaches the depart after the game from Ashton Road by the Greville Smyth Park.
Places to Drink: The Robins pub has been recommended as the best place for away supporters (even though it is popular with home supporters) and is only a short walk from the away end. Other recommendations are The Pump House located alongside the entrance to the harbour north of Ashton Gate over the Plimsol bridge. Also nearby is the The Novia Scotia and this is an old fashioned dockside pub that is popular with home supporters. The Cottage is also located by the harbour and has the extra advantage of car parking. Pus to avoid are Hen & Chicken, The Wedlocks, The Coopers Arms, and The Rising Sun.
Places to Eat: Chippies nearby are the The Parkway Chippy and Pacific Fish and Chips at the North end of the ground, whilst Lucky House Fish & Chips is the closest to the away end. A KFC is just off the roundabout by the away end.
Cash Machines: Nat West and HSBC machines down North Street.
