PRESS CONFERENCE QUOTES

Denis Smith: "The first-half was ok, the second was appalling. That was the worse performance for a long, long time and we were very fortunate to come away only losing 1-0. There are no excuses for a performance like that, it was totally unprofessional and I am extremely angry. We gave them too much space and didn't close them down, that was absolutely appalling. I can't come out with anything constructive from that game. We had a hell of a chance of three points today but we didn't take it. We don't normally play like that. In the second half nobody took responsibility and nobody wearing our colours can walk off the field feeling proud of themselves. I have told the players that I wasn't happy with that and if we play like we did today then we will go down. For some reason we just didn't come out in the second-half. I don't like losing but if we do lose then I expect to lose in the correct manner and I didn't feel that today we did." [Source: Wrexham AFC]

Brian Tinnion: "I wasn't happy at half time because I felt we were playing at end-of-season pace. I reminded the lads that if we won our last four games we could still make the play-offs. I don't want to see the season petering out. We needed to raise the tempo and the lads did just that to keep Wrexham under pressure. I'm delighted for Scott Murray that he scored. His form has dipped at times this season, but you can never accuse him of giving less than 100 per cent. We had to replace Tommy Doherty in the first half because unfortunately he had twisted a knee, but Scott Brown did an excellent job as replacement. Now I want the same attitude as we showed in the second half taken into the final three games, starting at MK Dons next Saturday. If we can win all our remaining fixtures I still believe we can finish in the top six." [Source: Bristol City FC]
Scott Murray: "I've been due a goal. Thankfully Heff (Paul Heffernan) missed the cross and I've managed to get a toe on the ball to stick it in the back of the net. I may have even given Heff a nudge to make sure it was my goal because I haven't scored one for ages. It could be a very important goal, you never know. Watching from the bench I remember seeing Heff hit the crossbar early on but apart from that neither side really created any clear-cut openings. The gaffer pulled me across on the hour and told me to get on the pitch, run around like a headless chicken as per usual and see if I can create something. Thankfully I managed to nick the winning goal and hopefully the win will give the lads renewed confidence going into our remaining matches."  [Source: Bristol City FC]

YOUR VIEW

red bristol: "I've just got back from the game and was surprised how uninterested we seemed. The BCFC keeper didn't have one save to make. Foster generally kept us in the game in the second half. BCFC really could and should have been beaten, they looked like their season was over and one goal from us would have seen their heads drop and a win for us. After the excitement at Cardiff we weren't up for today sad as it seems. We started brightly , passing the ball around but not really creating anything."

Port Talbot Red: "Went to the game and we didn't have a looking really. I think we had one half chance which to Shaun Pejic and he hit it over the bar. Foster made a couple of saves but when Scott Murray came on for Bristol, I knew we were going to lose (He always scores against us) but before that I was quite optimistic were were going to get a draw or we might sneak it! Also, I felt Smith made the wrong decision in taking off Mark Jones for Armstrong as he seemed to create some openings."
