TRAVEL GUIDE

Directions from Wrexham: Leave Wrexham on the A483, A55 past Chester onto the M53. Leave the M53 at junction 11 heading eastbound towards Warrington on the M56. At junction 9 of the M56 join the M6 Northbound leaving at junction 21a to join the M62 east bound towards Manchester. At Manchester the M62 becomes M60 and join the M60 North Ringroad following signs for the M62 West Yorkshire. The M60 reverts back to the M62 and continue on the M62 until it ends at junction 38 joining the A63 to Hull. The ground is clearly signposted before you reach the City Centre and you leave the A63 at the slip road before the flyover, sign posted 'Local Traffic/Infirmary' and for the KC Stadium. At the roundabout take the second exit into Rawling Way and at the next main set of lights (and with the Hospital in front of you) turn left onto the A1105 Anlaby Road. Continue over the fly over and at the foot turn right into Walton Street. Distance = 150 miles; Time = 3 hours.

Car Parking: Following on from above a car park in Walton Street is located halfway down this street after the Sports Arena. You cannot park at the ground and local residential schemes operate in the area but the other options are: The Infirmary (£1.50 for 4 hours - 10-15 minute walk) and there are Park and Ride Schemes with home supporters signposted off the A63. The park and ride next to Cilve Sulivan Way will cost £2.00 and is recommended by the club. Alternatively you can use any of the town centre car parks.
By Train: Nearest Train Station is Hull Paragon and is a 15 minute walk from the ground. Exit the station on the North Bus Station side and there is a signposted pedestrian route from here via St. Stephens Square, St Stephens Street, and Londesborough Street.

Most home fans go to pubs near the former ground - Boothferry Park - which are best avoided especially the Silver Cod pub. The ground does serve alcohol costing £2.30 for lager and £2.20 for bitter. If you a travelling by train then the Yorkshireman is located behind the station.

TICKET AND GROUND INFO

General: Compared to the former Boothery Park there is no comparison. You do not have to cram under the ledge of the supermarket roof if it is raining like you did on former trips to Hull. Like all new stadium's the KC stadium has all the modern facilities you have come to expect. Away supporters have the North Stand which can take 4,000 supporters but the stewards are known to be heavy handed and I can remember from the visit in the promotion season a supporter ending up with a broken arm and the steward being escorted out. You cannot smoke in your seat but can in the concourse. No standing is allowed and this adds to confrontations with stewards especially as home fans are allowed to stand freely in their areas.
Ticket Office:  0870 837 0004 or tickets@hulltigers.com
Seats: North Stand Adults £16 and Concessions £9.
Standing: None - all seated.
Disabled Facilities: There is parking available at the ground but applications must be made to Allan Chilton before the Monday of the game by calling 0870 837003. The stadium has wheelchairs for hire at a £5 returnable deposit and there is a total of 304 spaces available with the disabled supporter entering for free and the helper paying the normal admission price for that area. There are 300 ambulant places with walking disabled paying the concession admission price.
Programme and Fanzines: Programme £2.50, Amber Nectar Fanzine £1

MATCH PREVIEW
THE MATCH

Wrexham Team News: A flu bug has hit Wrexham's preparations for the visit to the KC Stadium along with Jim Whitley and Danny Williams being ruled out with knee and back injuries respectively. Eight players have been hit by the flu bug with a doubt over three other first team players and with this in mind there is no surprise that Denis Smith has called up Kieran Quinn and Matty Done to the travelling squad with Marc Williams, Mike Williams and Gareth Evans also on standby. The players affected with the bug are Juan Ugarte, Chris Llewellyn, Craig Morgan, Carlos Edwards, Dennis Lawrence, Hector Sam, Simon Spender and Levi Macken and as a result it is almost impossible to predict any starting line up or formation. It would be highly remarkable it all eight players would be ruled out although Darren Ferguson, Steve Roberts and Shaun Pejic are not as badly affected and should be fit to play. Some good news sees Andy Holt and Chris Armstrong returning to the squad following injury.

Wrexham Squad (14+8): Foster, Harrison, Pejic, Roberts, Smith, Holt, Bennett, Green, Crowell, Mark Jones, Ferguson, Done, Armstrong, Quinn. Flu hit players: Ugarte, Llewellyn, Morgan, Edwards, Lawrence, Sam, Spender, Macken.

Hull Team News: Hull City top scorer Stuart Elliott could be set for a return from a fractured cheekbone. But Marc Joseph and Ryan France are still a week away from fitness, while Kevin Ellison completes a two-match ban and Michael Keane is still suspended.

Hull Squad (16): Myhill, Stockdale, Cort, Delaney, Edge, Green, Ashbee, Lewis, Elliott, Barmby, Facey, Duke, Dawson, Hessenthaler, Price, Allsopp.

Officials: The match referee is Mark Warren from the West Midlands and he is assisted by Dave Birkett from Lincolnshire and Garry Wallace from Tyne & Wear. Mark Warren has refereed 21 games this seasons sending off 5 players and booking 61 at an average of 2.86 per game. Mark Warren refereed Wrexham's 1-0 win over Bradford in September when he sent off Bradford's Lee Crooks

Weather: Sunny spells with temperatures reaching a maximum of 5 degrees Celsius and a 16 mph north westerly wind.

The Bookies View: Hull are odds on favourites with Labrokes and Bet Odd or Even offering the best odds at 4/7. Wrexham are best priced at 11/2 with Paddy Power, Stan James, Bet 365, Premier Bet and Sky Bet. Sporting Odds, Paddy Power, Stan James and Premier Bet are offering the draw at 11/4.
