TRAVEL GUIDE

Directions from Wrexham: Head south on the A483, A5 towards Shrewsbury and then onto the M54. Continue to the end of the M54 and then join the M6 southbound at junction 10a. Leave the M6 at junction 8 joining the M5 southbound until you reach the junction 11a where you leave the M5 turning left at the end of the slip road onto the A417. At the roundabout with the A436 turn tight continuing on the A4117 towards Cheltenham. After 15 miles on the A417 go straight on at the roundabout onto the A419 heading towards Swindon WARNING - THERE ARE SPEED CAMERAS AT THE TOP OF THE STEEP HILL AT BLUNSDON. Half a mile after Blunsdon turn right at the Turnpike roundabout (there are a lot of these in Swindon!) onto the A4311. Continue on this road towards Swindon and go through numerous roundabouts until you reach one called Transfer Bridges. From here turn left following signs for the County ground and Swindon centre. After passing under the railway bridge you will reach another roundabout where you take the second exit into County Road (signposted County Ground and Swindon Centre) and the ground will be on your left after the next mini roundabout. Distance - 150 miles; Time = 3 hours 30 minutes.

MATCH PREVIEW
THE MATCH

Wrexham Team News: Injuries and a suspension have depleted Wrexham's squad to the bare minimum so much that the team will virtually pick itself at Swindon. Wrexham were already without Chris Armstrong, Alex Smith, Jim Whitley, Brian Carey, Danny Williams and Dean Bennett but Mark Jones has been added to the ever growing list after failing to recover from a ankle ligament injury. Dennis Lawrence is also a doubt but went for an x-ray today to find out the extent of his foot injury and Darren Ferguson starts a two game ban after accumulating his tenth yellow card of the season against Oldham last weekend. Ben Foster continues in goal with Craig Morgan and Steve Roberts playing alongside Dennis Lawrence or Shaun Pejic in defence. With little options in midfield Matt Crowell, Scott Green and Levi Macken will start with the only other alternative being dropping Chris Llewellyn back from attack. This would free up Hector Sam to play alongside Juan Ugarte but it would be surprising if Denis Smith breaks up the successful away partnership of Llewellyn and Ugarte. Carlos Edwards and Andy holt will play at wing backs.

Wrexham Squad (17): Foster, Dibble, Pejic, Lawrence, Roberts, Morgan, Edwards, Holt, Spender, Green, Crowell, Llewellyn, Ugarte, Sam, Done, Mackin, Williams.

Opposition Team News: Swindon striker Christian Roberts played for the reserves in midweek to improve his fitness after a hernia injury and could earn a starting place. Midfielder Matt Hewlett played an hour for the second string after his back problem and is also in contention..

Officials: The match referee is Darren Drysdale from Lincolnshire and he is assisted by John Farries from Oxfordshire and Mike Mullarkey from Devon. Darren Drysdale has refereed 21 games this season sending off 3 players and booking 40 at an average of 1.90 per game.

Weather: Sunny intervals with temperatures reaching 11 degrees Celsius and a 3 mph south easterly wind.

The Bookies View: Tote Sport and bet Odd or Even are pricing Swindon at 5/6 with Sjan James offering Wrexham at 7/2 You can get the draw at 5/2 with Bet365..
