MATCH PREVIEW
THE MATCH

Wrexham Team News: Wrexham's injury problems continue to grow with Dean Bennett and Alex Smith the latest players to join the ever growing injury list. Andy Dibble, Brian Carey, Danny Williams and Jim Whitley are still out and there remains doubts over flu victims Chris Llewellyn, Steve Roberts, Dennis Lawrence, Craig Morgan, Carlos Edwards and Juan Ugarte. Of the ill players Juan Ugarte and Dennis Lawrence played at Hull and with Carlos Edwards being struck down with the flu his scheduled operation on a broken hand was cancelled and this will allow the wingback to join up with the squad. The starting line up is dependant on the flu victims but Ben Foster continues in goal after extending his loan spell from Stoke and Craig Morgan was hopeful of recovering to take his place in the back three alongside Shaun Pejic and Dennis Lawrence. This will free Andy Holt to play at left wingback and Carlos Edwards should be back on the right to give Wrexham better attacking options. The midfield of Matt Crowell, Darren Ferguson and Mark Jones will be unchanged with Denis Smith having cover for Ugarte and Llewellyn up front in the form of Chris Armstrong and Hector Sam if either are ruled out.

Wrexham Squad (18): Foster, Pejic, Roberts, Morgan, Lawrence, Edwards, Spender, Crowell, Jones, Ferguson, Green, Holt, Armstrong, Llewellyn, Sam, Ugarte, Harrison, Mackin.

Colchester: Colchester welcome back goalkeeper Aidan Davidson back in the squad following a calf injury but he is likely to be on the bench with manager Phil Parksinon sticking with Dean Gerken. Colchester will be without Jamie Cade and Sam Stockley who have leg and ankle injuries respectively although they have returned to training both are not match fit. Richard Garcia, Ben Bowditch, Bobby Bowry, Karl Duguid and Kem Izzet remain long term absentees.

Colchester Squad(16): Gerkin, Chilvers, Baldwin, Brown, Hunt; Keith, Watson, Banns, Johnson; Fagan, Halford, Davison, Williams, White, Guy, Ndumbu-Nsungu.

Officials: The match referee is Graham Salisbury from Lancashire and he is assisted by Allan Rawcliffe and Daniel Roberts from Greater Manchester. Graham Salisbury has refereed 24 games this season sending off 5 players and booking 74 at an average of 3.08 per game.

Weather: Partly cloudy with temperatures dropping to -2 degrees Celsius with a 7 mph northerly wind.

The Bookies View: paddy Power are offering the Wrexham win at 13/10 with Colchester best priced at 2/1 with Labrokes and Sporting odds. You will get the draw at 12/5 at Labrokes.
