THE MATCH |
Wrexham Team News:
Wrexham's injury problems continue to grow with Dean Bennett and Alex Smith
the latest players to join the ever growing injury list. Andy Dibble, Brian
Carey, Danny Williams and Jim Whitley are still out and there remains doubts
over flu victims Chris Llewellyn, Steve Roberts, Dennis Lawrence, Craig
Morgan, Carlos Edwards and Juan Ugarte. Of the ill players Juan Ugarte and
Dennis Lawrence played at Hull and with Carlos Edwards being struck down
with the flu his scheduled operation on a broken hand was cancelled and this
will allow the wingback to join up with the squad. The starting line up is
dependant on the flu victims but Ben Foster continues in goal after
extending his loan spell from Stoke and Craig Morgan was hopeful of
recovering to take his place in the back three alongside Shaun Pejic and
Dennis Lawrence. This will free Andy Holt to play at left wingback and
Carlos Edwards should be back on the right to give Wrexham better attacking
options. The midfield of Matt Crowell, Darren Ferguson and Mark Jones will
be unchanged with Denis Smith having cover for Ugarte and Llewellyn up front
in the form of Chris Armstrong and Hector Sam if either are ruled out.
Colchester Squad(16): Gerkin, Chilvers, Baldwin, Brown, Hunt; Keith,
Watson, Banns, Johnson; Fagan, Halford, Davison, Williams, White, Guy,
Ndumbu-Nsungu. |
