TRAVEL GUIDE

Directions from Wrexham: Head south on the A483, A5 past Oswestry and Shrewsbury onto the M54 at Telford. Continue to the end of the M54 joining the M6 southbound at junction 10a. At junction 8 of the M6 join the M5 southbound continuing on the M5 until the last junction when it becomes the A38. After three miles leave the A38 take the left hand fork onto the A380 following signs for Torquay and Torbay and continue on the A380 through the village of Newton Abbott going straight on at the roundabout by the Penn Inn. Then pass through Kingskerswell and continue straight on at the second roundabout. The road then becomes a dual carriageway and after passing through two sets of lights take left hand lanes to turn left at the third following signs for Torquay United FC. The route is signposted from here but from Hele Road carry on straight across the roundabout through the village of Helle and continue straight over 2 mini-roundabouts into Westhill  Road. After travelling up the hill go straight on at the lights into Warbro Road and Plainmoor will be ahead of you on your right hand side. (Time = 5 hours; Distance = 250 miles)

By Train: Nearest Train Station is Torquay but is over 2 miles away from the ground (uphill!) so the best bet is to jump in a taxi costing around £5.00 or catch a number 12 bus to the town centre bus station (and as below).

MATCH PREVIEW
THE MATCH

Wrexham Team News: Danny Williams and Dean Bennett are the latest addition to Wrexham's ever growing casualty list after they picked up hamstring injuries to join Chris Armstrong, Brian Carey, Jim Whitley, Carlos Edwards and Andy Dibble on the sidelines. With seven senior players out from a limited squad Denis Smith's choices are further restricted with the withdrawal of Mark Jones and Levi Macken and has therefore called up Scholars Kieran Quinn and Mike Williams, to play alongside trialist Matt Shaw. Matt Baker will continue in goal and the back three of Shaun Pejic, Steve Roberts and Dennis Lawrence will also remain unchanged. Matt Crowell should replace the injured Danny Williams to play alongside Darren Ferguson and Alex Smith with Andy Holt on the left wing and Simon Spender will replace the Dean Bennett on the right. Chris Llewellyn and Hector Sam will continue up front.

Wrexham Squad (16): Baker, Evans, Roberts, Pejic, Lawrence, Morgan, Williams, Spender, Holt, Ferguson, Crowell, Smith, Quinn, Llewellyn, Sam, Shaw.

Opposition Team News: In comparison to his counterpart Denis Smith, Gulls manager Leroy Rosenior has no fresh injury worries and his options are boosted with the return of Martin Phillips to the squad on the right wing. This will allow Tony Bedeau to push further forward but Torquay have further options in the form of Bruno Meirelles. Martin Gritton is back after injury but will have to settle for a place on the bench as
Jo Kuffour and Adebayo Akinfenwa are expected to continue up front. The only other absentee is enforced as Matt Hockely is suspended.

Officials: The match referee is Mick Russell from Hertfordshire and he is assisted by Gary Chapman from Gloucestershire and Andrew Turner from Devon. Mick Ruseell has refereed 8 games this season and has sent off only one player and booked 25, at an average of 3.125 per game, although 17 of his cautions were issued in his first three games along with the red card.

Weather: Light remain is forecasted for the game with temperatures reaching a maxim of 16 degrees Celsius with a 20 mph south westerly wind.

The Bookies View: Sporting Odds are offering the Wrexham win at 15/8 whilst Torquay are best priced at 6/4 with Stanley Bet. You will get 12/5 for the draw with Sky Bet.
