TRAVEL GUIDE

Directions from Wrexham: Head south on the A483, A5 past Oswestry and Shrewsbury onto the M54 at Telford. Continue to the end of the M54 joining the M6 southbound at junction 10a. At junction 8 of the M6 join the M5 southbound continuing on the M5 until the last junction when it becomes the A38. After three miles leave the A38 take the left hand fork onto the A380 following signs for Torquay and Torbay and continue on the A380 through the village of Newton Abbott going straight on at the roundabout by the Penn Inn. Then pass through Kingskerswell and continue straight on at the second roundabout. The road then becomes a dual carriageway and after passing through two sets of lights take left hand lanes to turn left at the third following signs for Torquay United FC. The route is signposted from here but from Hele Road carry on straight across the roundabout through the village of Helle and continue straight over 2 mini-roundabouts into Westhill  Road. After travelling up the hill go straight on at the lights into Warbro Road and Plainmoor will be ahead of you on your right hand side. (Time = 5 hours; Distance = 250 miles)

By Train: Nearest Train Station is Torquay but is over 2 miles away from the ground (uphill!) so the best bet is to jump in a taxi costing around £5.00 or catch a number 12 bus to the town centre bus station (and as below).

Please note that the Main Stand has supporting pillars and your view may be obstructed.
Ticket Office: 01803 328666
Seats: Main Stand - Adults £15, OAP's & Students £12, Under 16s £5.
Standing: Sparkworld Away Stand - Adults £14, OAP's & Students £11, Under 16s £5.
Disabled Facilities: There are only two disabled parking spaces at the ground making it difficult to park on matchdays, as there are only an additional two spaces located within 200 metres. Plus point is access to the ground is generally level but the two toilets are in the hospitality area with the limited catering mainly outside of the ground. There are 5 wheelchair spaces for away fans towards the Babbacombe End of the Main Stand but there is little roofing cover with the helper sitting behind. There are 12 visual spaces in the main stand with match commentary and away supporters must contact the DSA Anne Sandford on 01803 328666 to reserve a set.

MATCH PREVIEW
THE MATCH

Wrexham Team News: Wrexham travelled to Torquay on Monday with only a squad of 16 players after Alex Smith was ruled out with a groin injury, which limits Denis Smith's options further in midfield. Alex Smith joins the long term absentees of Andy Dibble, Brian Carey, Jim Whitley, Dean Bennett, Danny Williams and Carlos Edwards on the sidelines. Matt Baker continues in goal with a back three of Shaun Pejic, Dennis Lawrence and Steve Roberts with Simon Spender and Andy Holt as wing backs. Denis Smith tried Mark Jones and Chris Llewellyn in midfield along with Darren Ferguson but Smith may consider recalling Matt Crowell to add some steel to the centre of the park. Chris Armstrong will start and Hector Sam may have to drop down to the bench if Chris Llewellyn is pushed forward from midfield to allow Crowell to start the game.

Wrexham Squad (16): Baker, Evans, Roberts, Pejic, Lawrence, Morgan, Spender, Holt, Crowell, Ferguson, Mackin, Jones, Sam, Llewellyn, Armstrong, Ugarte.

Torquay Team News: Lelroy Rosenior has the luxury of naming and unchanged side following the impressive win at Port vale on the weekend. Goalkeeper Olafur
Gottskalksson is again a doubt with sickness but defender Steve Woods and midfielder Martin Philips are again out with knee injuries. Ex-red Kevin Dearden will therefore continue in goal.

Officials: Match referee is Mick Russell from Hertfordshire and he is assisted by Erik Mackrell from Hampshire and Edward Martin from Somerset. Mick Russell has taken charge of 12 games this season sending off one player and booking 32 at an average of 2.67 per game.

Weather: Low level clowds with temperatures reaching a minimum of 12 degrees Celsius with a 1 mph easterly wind.

The Bookies View: Torquay are favourites at 11/10 with VC bet, Sporting Odds, Paddy Power, Stanley Bet and Premier Bet. Wrexham are best priced at 12/5 with VC Bet, Labrokes and Stanley Bet and Tote Sport. Sky bet, Tote Sport UK Betting and Bet 247 are offering the draw at 5/2.
