MATCH PREVIEW
THE MATCH

Wrexham Team News: Steve Roberts is the latest doubt for Denis Smith after he picked up a hamstring injury at Torquay. If the defender is ruled out then he joins Andy Dibble, Brian Carey, Danny Williams, Alex Smith, Jim Whitley, Dean Bennett and Carlos Edwards on the sidelines. Mat Baker continues in goal with Craig Morgan on standby to replace Steve Roberts in defence alongside Shaun Pejic and Dennis Lawrence. Denis Smith has hinted a change in formation in an attempt to fill the void of a defensive midfielder with Danny Williams and Jim Whitley out injured. If he sticks with a 3-5-2 then Simon Spender and Andy Holt will serve as wing backs for a midfield of Darren Ferguson, Chris Llewellyn and either Mark Jones or Matt Crowell. Chris Armstrong would be expected to partner Juan Ugarte up front although Hector Sam contributed more than Chris Armstrong in one run at Torquay on Tuesday night. If Wrexham revert to 4-4-2 then expect the defence to line up with Shaun Pejic at right back and Andy Holt on the left with Craig Morgan and Dennis Lawrence in the centre. Simon Spender and Chris Llewellyn would act as wingers for a midfield of Darren Ferguson and either Matt Crowell or Mark Jones. The options up front of Chris Armstrong, Juan Ugarte or Hector Sam remain unchanged. Scott Green is included in the squad but is unlikely to start as he is not match fit.

Wrexham Squad (17): Baker, Pejic, Lawrence, Roberts, Morgan, Spender, Ferguson. Llewellyn, Jones, Holt, Armstrong, Ugarte, Green, Crowell, Mackin, Sam, Evans.

Huddersfield Team News: Huddersfield have
Efe Sodje suspended and his brother, Akpo, is out injured. Andy Booth scored for the reserves in midweek and this should prove his fitness to manager Peter Jackson and he is expected to be recalled to partner top scorer Pawell Abbott up front. Goalkeeper Ian Gray remains out injured and Phillip Senior will continue in his absence.

Officials: The match referee is Grant Hegley from Bishop's Stortford and he is assisted by Michael Oliver from Hertfordshire and Ron Shoebridge from Derbyshire. Grant Hegley has refereed 12 games, sending off one player and booked 16 at an average of only 1.33 per game.

Weather: Sunny intervals with a maximum temperature of 5 degrees Celsius and a 5 mph south westerly wind..

The Bookies View: Huddersfield are odds on winners at 8/11 with Paddy Power, Stan James, Stanley Bet, Bet 365 and Sky Bet with the Wrexham win best priced at 13/5 with VC Bet. The draw is 4/1 with UK Betting and Total Bet.
