Today's Western Mail in the story "Flynn demands big play-off statement" quotes Wrexham boss Brian Flynn as saying ahead of tomorrow's big game with high-flying Reading: "Reading’s run commands respect but it would be a major statement of our intentions if we were to win this game. For us to reach the play-offs is a tall order. Realistically, there's only one spot up for grabs - the one currently held by Wigan. We've three games in hand on them but are 10 points behind. I believe we’ll need 75 points to reach the play-offs and that means winning eight and drawing one of our remaining 12 games. It’s a big ask, but I think it’s possible. If we're to achieve our target we must take six points from the next two home matches - against Reading and Bury on Tuesday. After our recent run I’d like to think we could attract some of our stay-away fans back. A gate of over 5,000 would be quite a boost”.

While tonight's Evening Leader in the story "Brian leads the parade" quotes the Robins supremo as saying: "Every game is a big game for us at the moment, but this one really is big. Reading are a team in form, full of confidence and pushing for promotion. There’s no better test and we're having a good run - and we want it to continue. We’ve now got the 50 points I believe we needed to stay up. Now we can assess the situation differently and I believe 75 points would get us into the play-offs. For us to achieve that we would have to win eight and drawn one of our remaining 12 games. It’s a tough target – but it’s not beyond us. Let’s go for it…”.
