Today's Western Mail in the story "Setback, but Flynn defiant" quotes Wrexham boss Brian Flynn as saying after Saturday's 2-1 home defeat to big-spending Reading: "There was silence in the dressing-room afterwards because they couldn’t believe we didn’t take at least a point from the game. They did everything bar win the game, but we have to get over this setback. We didn’t start particularly well, but after that I thought we went on to control the game. They gave everything and we can’t ask for more than that".

Even Reading manager Alan Pardew thought that Wrexham deserved a share of the points. Ananova in the story "Pardew: We were lucky to win" today quotes the Royals boss as saying: "We had to show a different side to our game. It was character and grit that got us through, but whoever saw the match will know we were fortunate to come away with three points".

While tonight's Evening Leader in the story "The fight is on" quotes 7 goals in 5 games striker Lee Trundle as saying: "I thought first-half we were not up to much, but second-half we destroyed them. All the lads felt we should've got something out of the game - at least a point. Obviously I was pleased to stick another goal in, but I really feel we can take heart from the way we played on Saturday. That was the best we’ve played since I’ve been here. Reading are a good side and they’ve spent mega-bucks on players. But we more than matched them for spirit and when we equalised I thought we were going to take them. The fans were fantastic and we all hope they come back tomorrow because it’s not over yet".

Tonight's Evening Leader reports that Wrexham striker Andy Morrell will face a fitness test ahead of tomorrow night's clash with Bury at The Racecourse. The on-form marksman limped off in the 35th minute of Saturday's game with Reading after a late challenge from ex-Robins defender Barry Hunter.

The Leader reports that Craig Faulconbridge is likely to partner Lee Trundle up front if Andy Morrell fails his fitness test.

Bury also have injury worries ahead of tomorrow night's game.

Tonight's Bolton Evening News in the story "Collins a Wrexham doubt" reports that Bury defender Sam Collins is likely to miss tomorrow night's fixture after injuring his Achilles during Saturday's 1-1 draw with Notts County (for whom ex-Wrexham loan signing Danny Allsopp scored).

The Bolton Evening News reports that the former Huddersfield defender limped off at half-time and was replaced by youngster Nicky Hill, who slotted into the back three alongside Chris Swailes and Steve Redmond.

The Bolton Evening News quotes Bury manager, former Wrexham striker Andy Preece, as saying: "He's been feeling the injury for the last three or four games and at half-time he just couldn't carry on. With it being his Achilles I doubt he'll be fit for Tuesday but I won't rule him out just yet".

While Collins' likely replacement at The Racecourse, Nicky Hill, is quoted as saying: "Playing alongside Redders and Swailes really helps because they've got so much experience. They talk to me all the time and help me through and it makes it a lot easier. Wrexham will be a tough game. I don't know whether I'll be playing. It depends on whether Sam is fit but if I get called up I'll be delighted".
