Trundle gets Royal seal of approval
Lee Trundle
Tonight's Evening Leader in the story "Lee can go all the way" carries an interview with ex-Wrexham defender Barry Hunter (now at promoting-chasing Reading who won 2-1 at the Racecourse recently).
The Leader quotes the Royals' stopper as saying about Reds hit-man Lee Trundle: "The boy Trundle is a real handful. He can look after himself that’s for sure and when the whistle went I shook his hand and congratulated him on his goal. Great strike. I was genuinely pleased for the boy because I know how difficult it is coming from the sort of footballing background he has. I think he’s definitely got what it takes to be a really top player. He’s aggressive and he’s not afraid to almost shoot-on-sight. Not many players do that these days for fear of missing. But he has a go whenever he gets the chance and, of course, a percentage of those will go in. The goal he scored against us was a fantastic strike and it really lifted Wrexham. Good luck to the lad".
