TEAMtalk today reports in the story "Bouanane on goal trail" that former Wrexham left-back Emad Bouanane, who was released by Reds boss Brian Flynn at the end of last season, will be given a further chance to impress Swindon Town manager Andy King tonight when his side travel to Carteron for their latest friendly.
TEAMtalk reports that Robins trialist Bouanane opened his Swindon account on his debut in a far from memorable 3-1 win at Basingstoke Town on Tuesday night, having been on the pitch for just over 10 minutes when he struck in devastating style in the 78th minute, curling a shot inside the post to give Swindon a 2-1 lead.
Swindon Town's official web site described the charismatic Frenchman's goal like this: "It wasn't until Town introduced unknown Bouanane that they enforced any kind of authority on the game. Bouanane replaced Duke on the left-hand side and within 15 minutes of coming on, beat three defenders and chipped magnificently over the home keeper. After the game Town's boss admitted that he's still in the hunt for three newv players. "Tonight we didn't play well at all but the lads need help. We still need to bring in three players, but I maintain that I'm not going to rush into signing three players that aren't better than what we already have".
