Dragons in no rush over Carey

Brian CareyWREXHAM are confident that captain Brian Carey will not be forced to miss any league matches after suffering an Achilles injury.

The defender lasted just seven minutes into the second half of Saturday's goalless draw with Hull having missed training the previous day because of the problem.

Denis Smith's side face Carlisle away in the LDV Vans Trophy on 10 December but their next league clash is not until four days later, when they will play the Cumbrians again at Brunton Park, and Carey is expected to be fit by then.

A club spokesman said: "He's not back in full training at the moment. He's been doing a bit of swimming but they don't think it's long term.

"We don't play on Saturday and our LDV Vans Trophy game is next Tuesday, so there is no great need to rush him.''

Emad BouananeFORMER Wrexham favourite Emad Bouanane has joined French club Sporting Club Abbeville who play in CFA 2 (equivalent to Nationwide League Division Three in England).

The news comes via SC Abbeville's webmaster Rugoni Stephane.

The enigmatic Frenchman will be playing in a forward position for SC Abbeville, rather than as an attacking left-back as he did for Wrexham.

The Picardie-based club were founded in 1901 and are located in the north of France.
