THE FOOTBALL LEAGUE can confirm that it has now received a formal appeal from Wrexham AFC against the 10-point penalty imposed under League regulations after the club was made the subject of an Administration Order.

The League will now arrange for an appeal hearing to be heard by an independent panel as soon as is practicable.

As part of the appeal process an independent firm of accountants will be asked to produce a report into the circumstances surrounding and leading up to the entering into insolvency proceedings. This report will be presented to the independent panel.
