Profit goal for club bid businessman

THE Middlesex businessman poised to make a bid for Wrexham FC is currently a director of four different companies.

Paul Buttivant yesterday told the Evening Leader he was considering making a bid for the cash-strapped club.

Mr Buttivant is believed to be currently serving on the board of four companies who operate from the same address in Uxbridge, Middlesex.

Du'Barry Group Ltd, Du'Barry Holdings Ltd, New Inn Trading Co Ltd and Woosnam and Partners, are all based at an address in the High Street of the town, not far from his home in Harmondsworth.

The companies deal in general construction and civil engineering, real estate and other service activities, although three of the businesses are currently dormant according to Companies House records.

All accounts for the above mentioned companies are in order according to the records.

Mr Buttivant yesterday confirmed his interest in the financially crippled club.

He said: "I am interested in safeguarding Wrexham FC for the future and also making the club, as a business, run profitably." The businessman, who has already spoken to the administrators and Wrexham Supporters' Trust, was alerted to the club's situation through his involvement in redevelopment of the Feathers pub in the town centre.
