DENIS SMITH has not received a touchline ban following his sending off at Tranmere Rovers.

The Wrexham manager was sent to the stands for throwing a bottle to the floor in anger as he disputed Rovers' controversial equaliser in the 1-1 draw on September 18.

Smith was sent a letter from the Football Association to give his response and then requested a personal hearing.

And he said today: "I have been fined by the FA but there is no ban.

"One thing you'll find is that even when officials are wrong, they are right. It's something we have to live with.

"I still don't think I did anything wrong. It was case of bad man management.

"I don't like being fined but I will pay it."
