WREXHAM SUPPORTERS' TRUST (WST) fully supports the decision taken by the Wrexham FC Board today to apply for an administration order.

Vice Chairman Rob Griffiths said "In the circumstances, we believe that this is the correct way forwards, and we applaud the Directors - Mr Bennett and Mr Griffiths - for taking this brave decision. Although administration is not a step to be undertaken lightly for any business, we see this as a very significant step forwards in the fight to save Wrexham FC. We are certain that the vast majority of supporters will understand why this measure has been taken, and we will encourage everyone to get behind the club and to show our determination as supporters to win the battle for survival."

Rob added: "The Trust is encouraging Wrexham Supporters everywhere to turn out in numbers and get behind the team on Saturday. We have an attractive home fixture against Bristol City and this promises to be a very special day - there was a real possibility that we may have been wound up this week, and in those circumstances this fixture would not have taken place. But the game is definitely going ahead, and we want to see as many fans as possible at the Racecourse on Saturday to support the team. There will be a great atmosphere because we can now see light at the end of the tunnel."
