WREXHAM turn to evergreen Andy Dibble against Liverpool tomorrow.

The 39-year old Welshman was desperately disappointed at being left out of the trip to the Isle of Man after Manager Denis Smith opted to take new goalkeeper, Matt Baker, across the Irish Sea.

But Smith throws Dibble the massive challenge of keeping out Liverpool, saying: “Dibs is the man for the job. I am confident of that. He has done wonders for us since coming here and the reception he got the other night when I stuck him on against Stoke City was amazing.

“He is popular and he has never let me down. I wanted to bring him to the Isle of Man but two goalkeepers would have been a bit of a luxury in an original squad of 16 but he will definitely play against Liverpool.”
