Dominic MeeEXPLORER Dominic Mee has compared the fragile situation at The Racecourse to his dangerous expeditions - one mistake and it's all over.

The avid Wrexham fan, who showed his support by carrying a Save the Racecourse banner on his expedition to the Arctic, urged the community to rally behind the club in troubled times.

He said: "The next phase, like my expeditions, is time to remain focused. One lapse means certain death.

"Everyone has to get round this campaign and we really have to up the gears and not be despondent."

Dominic, who has kayaked the Northwest Passage of the High Arctic and attempted to row across the north Pacific Ocean, said he is behind the campaign more than ever and is working closely with the Wrexham Supporters' Trust.

Despite living in Somerset, the ex-Royal Marine hopes to return to The Racecourse in the New Year and demonstrate his passion for the club.

He said: "I have been talking to the Supporter's Trust and I am keen to come up in January and talk about my experiences. Wrexham is very close to my heart wherever I go around the world.

"This administration is a positive step. Everyone has to remain focused and it is important for the community. I have got a major expedition next year and I am going to carry Save the Racecourse around the world and beyond."

Dominic hinted that he is planning a pioneering expedition and is currently travelling all over the world, meeting experts and testing the concept for a major voyage.

He was reluctant to go into detail but told the Evening Leader he would be making an announcement soon.
