WREXHAM
owner Alex Hamilton admitted it took him just seconds to dismiss the fans' bid
to buy the club from him.
The Supporter's Trust recently made two failed attempts to buy up Hamilton's 78
per cent stake in the crisis-hit League One outfit.
But the former chairman, who fans claimed would walk away from the deal with a
clear Elm profit, simply laughed off their attempts to buy him out.
"It took me about five seconds to consider their offer," said Hamilton.
"It wasn't even a bid because there was no cash involved and it was based on too
many conditions.
"They said 'When we get planning permission in a couple of years for this and
when we've paid Mr Dickens for relocating his garage and when this and when that
happens, then we will give you some cash'.
"That is a non-bid in my book."
Hamilton's dismissive approach towards the Supporter's Trust will rankle with
fans who have nothing but disdain for the controversial property developer.
He has already served notice on the club to quit their Racecourse home next July
and says he intends to push ahead with plans to redevelop the site.
In the meantime the dub look likely to be placed into administration on Friday
ahead of their televised FA Cup second round game against Scunthorpe after
former chairman Mark Gutter-man withdrew his offer to buy the club.
