TRANMERE boss Brian Little is set to cut short defender Paul Linwood's loan spell at Wrexham.

The 21-year-old is in his second month at the Racecourse Ground but following an injury to midfielder Mark Rankine, Little wants Linwood back in his squad.

"We've had another setback with Ranks getting a sore hamstring so we'll probably call Paul Linwood back.

"With Ranks injured we'll have to look at calling Paul back as we're a bit thin on the ground."
