WREXHAM
Fans are to protest at tomorrow's match against what they claim is the
continuing involvement of a businessman in bidding for the club.
Some supporters will be picketing the vacant Feathers Public house in the town
as a protest against pub owner Paul Buttivant's involvement in the bidding
process for Wrexham AFC.
The Feathers has recently been refurbished by Mr Buttivant's company Du'barry
Holdings and is currently available to let at E25k per annum through the
Liverpool agents Seymour Keren.
Wayne Price, a spokesman for the Wrexham fanzine Dismal Jimmy, said: "The fans
want the Moss/Dickens bid to succeed and we are not happy with Mr Buttivant's
involvement.
"The protest will start at lunchtime and continue until about 2.30pm when the
petition will be taken up to the Racecourse to enable all Wrexham fans to sign.
The petition will then be sent to Seymour Kersh."
