Castlemead Developments Ltd have been in contact with Red Passion to release the following statement:
Castlemead Developments Ltd has been working
closely for some time with Nev Dickens on plans for redevelopment of Dickens
Garage, Crispin Lane. As part of those plans, it has always been envisaged that
the Administrator of Wrexham FC, assuming he is successful in his legal action
to recover the freehold of the Racecourse ground, may wish to include some part
of the car parking area adjacent to Crispin Lane in a redevelopment project, as
a means of generating cash for the Club to pay off its creditors and thus
securing the future of the Racecourse stadium itself.
Contrary to press speculation, Castlemead Developments Ltd has no interest in
buying the Club, but looks forward to working with the Administrator to ensure
that the proposed redevelopment of the Dickens Garage site helps to secure the
Club's future and the future of the Racecourse stadium.
