FORMER Wrexham striker Hector Sam and ex-Everton defender Adam Eaton have been training with Chester this week.

Manager Mark Wright has taken a look at the pair as he attempts to step up his squad strengthening ahead of the new League Two campaign.

Sam is still searching for a club after being released by Port Vale at the end of last season and will hope to impress Wright.

Likewise, Eaton, who was a member of the Everton squad that lifted the FA Youth Cup in 1998, will be hoping to prove his form and fitness.

The 26-year-old was released by Mansfield last month.
