Neil RobertsWREXHAM captain Neil Roberts was disappointed that his first game since October ended in a 4-0 loss at Boston.

"It was nice to be involved, but the result was so disappointing," said the Wales striker, who has been sidelined by a serious ankle injury.

"I've only trained twice since my comeback so it was a big step up to play, but with Lee McEvilly ill we needed another striker on the bench.

"The next couple of weeks will be a huge test of character for the squad."

Roberts, who returned to the Racecourse for his second spell at the club in the summer, knows that the pressure will be on him over the Christmas period.

"We're all concerned about getting dragged into a relegation dogfight, but we just have to go out and do the business," he told BBC Sport Wales.

"We had no shots on goal on Saturday. I've got to score, and the other strikers here know that they have to get things right as well.

"There's a lot of hard work to be done on the training ground.

"We're a real Jekyll and Hyde team, but I can't quite put my finger on what is going wrong."
