Done's delight as the defence hold tight

MATTY DONE was delighted to see Wrexham hold on for a draw at Rochdale on Saturday.
A habit of conceding late goals,
meaning they have taken nothing from matches, has been an all too common
occurrence for Wrexham this season.
Despite being under the cosh, Wrexham earned a draw at Spotland and Done, making
his first start under new manager Brian Little, was pleased the defence was not
breached.
"That has been the story of our season, not holding on for the last 15 minutes,"
said Done today.
"We have given silly, scrappy goals away in the last 15 minutes - that is why we
are down where we are. It is not just about performances, it has been conceding
silly goals.
"On Saturday, we stood out for the last 15 minutes and looked solid at the back.
"I was pleased to get a starting place. I was not really happy with my
performance, but the lads did well to get a point.
"It was a scrappy game but a good result. It was not anything special but a
decent performance all round. There was a job there that needed doing and we did
it well.
"Rochdale are a decent team and it was always going to be a hard game. We had a
game plan and we stuck to it."
Wrexham, who have drawn their last three matches and are now second from bottom
in the League Two table, take on Bury tomorrow at Gigg Lane.
And left-winger Done admitted the Reds are starting to grow in confidence,
adding: "It is a good start. Being unbeaten in three matches is not too bad, but
we need to push on from this."
"We have got two away games now and if we can win them, we have got a good run
going and confidence will be flying.
"Confidence is growing. The gaffer has definitely brought that to the team and I
think that has shown on the pitch."
