JONES insists he fighting fit and raring to face Rotherham tomorrow.
Wrexham midfielder Jones returned from seven week lay off with a back injury in
last weekend's 3-1 defeat against Brentford and also managed a full 90-minutes
in a midweek training match against a youthful Everton side.
"I'm don't know if I will be selected yet, but if I get the nod then, fitness
wise, I feel okay and I am fine to play for the full 90-minutes if asked to do
so," he said.
"The midweek run out against Everton was really important for me. I needed to
get a full game under my belt because the match against Brentford was my first
time out for a while."
Wrexham boss Brian Little has described Jones' return to fitness as a boost for
the team's attacking prowess in midfield, and Jones now wants to repay the faith
shown by his gaffer with a good run of form over the hectic festive period.
"The main aim for usnow is to try and get a good amount of points from the games
coming up over the busy Christmas period," added Jones.
"But we can only take one game at a time and at the moment we are all fully
concentrating on getting a result against Rotherham tomorrow.
"We have been working on a lot of different thing in training in order to try
and put things right and hopefully we can put them into good use.
"Rotherham are a decent team but there is never such a thing as an easy game.
All we can do is try and look for the win, be attack minded and look to express
ourselves."
Meanwhile, Jones and the rest of Wrexham's Welsh international contingent, could
be extending their season by another three weeks after the Welsh FA announced
two end-of-season friendlies last night.
Wales will play Iceland away on Wednesday, May 28 before flying off to Rotterdam
to face Holland on Sunday, June 1.
