WREXHAM
manager Brian Carey continues to enjoy the confidence of the Racecourse
boardroom, joint owner Geoff Moss said yesterday.
Tackled by a handful of frustrated fans following Saturday’s match Moss
yesterday said: “They were not happy and I can sympathise with them because I
dislike losing as much as anyone.
“But while we are doing our very best it is not good enough at the moment so we
are trying to support Brian as much as we can and we are working with him to
turn things around sooner rather than later.
“It’s a worrying time for us and for all the supporters but we have to trust
Brian and his staff to put it right.
“There is money in the players’ budget to bring in loan signings and that’s what
he is going to do.”
Pointing out that Howard Kendall and Sir Alex Ferguson had faced calls for the
sack before enjoying success with Everton and Manchester United respectively,
Moss added: “Brian is doing a great job in many respects and chopping and
changing is not necessarily the best answer.”
