SHREWSBURY TOWN chief Gary Peters believes tonight’s clash with fierce rivals Wrexham will be a major test of his side’s promotion prospects.

Town can go fifth in the League Two table with a win, and can guarantee their play-off place if Bristol Rovers slip up in their game at Macclesfield.

But Peters expects Wrexham to provide a stiff examination of his side as they go in search of their third successive victory in their battle against relegation.
