Away Support

December 19, 2008 by admin

Away supporters are housed behind one goal in the Eric Roberts Builders Stand formally called the Marstons Stand.

In preparation for the 1999 Rugby World Cup the stand was developed into an all seater with new concrete relayed to allow a better view. The top tier of the stand has just over 2,000 seats and a further 1,000 is available in the bottom tier if demand requires it. The top tier has a couple of pillars which may restrict the viewing of some seats. If the travelling support exceeds the capacity of the away end the club has made available in the past part of The Pryce Griffiths Stand and the Mold End of the Sainsburys Lower Stand. Refreshments kiosks are available in both tiers but unfortunately the toilets were not included as part of the redevelopment and have been described in one book as a scene out of Apocalypse Now (only the rivers look less clean in the film); you have been warned!
