Home again in Wales!
Last week's poll was very accurate predicting a home win despite one or 2 fans having the jitters. However, how confident are RPers now we are back on the road?

Last time I went to Accrington we were thumped 5-0. Thankfully, lots has changed since then! Mullin and McClean are now both available for selection. Whilst SPM is a no-brainer, PP has a dilemma whether to stick with Mendy -- who had a very good game against Gillingham -- or reintroduce McClean.

Barring injuries, the rest of the team should be the same. For me, put Dalby on the bench and start with Palmer. He can wrestle them into the ground for 55 minutes before bringing on the more mobile Dalby.

Their home form isn't too bad, but they have lost their last 2 league games. Has the conflict between owner and manager upset the dressing-room? Hope so!

Stanley 1 WXM 3

Mullin finds his f'in goalscoring boots and bags a brace, with one from J Jones. COYR!

Mendy is not available on Saturday due to international call up. Mullin and Dalby upfront. But I agree, hard to see any other changes compared to the Gillingham game.

Remember Halifax!
Underestimate Accrington at your peril.
Will they be knackered after extra time in cup?
Maybe as game wears on , so it is important to get the lead and keep it.
1-1

Exactly (sorry couldn't resist it)

Routine 2-0 away win. We're on a roll with multiple key players in tip-top form and I don't see Accie being able to stop us.

This definitely has the feel of a team we might underestimate .

In truth , they're not very good and we should beat them , but only if we go into the game 100% up for it ...

we should win it 3-1 ... but I could also see us rescuing a point having been chasing the game for most of it .

I'm going for 2-2 . Anything better than that and we'll be looking really good all the way through to January

They won’t be knackered, they’re professional footballers. I remember Stockport turning us over with ease in the Covid season after playing 48 hours before and we had a weeks break.

Anyway. 2-0 win. Mullin pen and O’Connor.

Not very good? They’re 8th in the table, only 7 points behind us. It will be a tricky game for sure. One key factor is our defence seems to be more watertight in recent weeks, so think we’ll win 1-0.

We're definitely good enough to beat them and we're on a roll with 2 key players returning.
BUT, Accie are not to be underestimated. It will be a close game, but our defence has solidified and Mullin makes magic, hence I'm going for a 1-0 win to us.

yes , but look at who they've actually played , most of their points come against teams at the bottom end of the table - where as a lot of our points come against teams in the top half ..... they have some decent results. ( wiomblmedon & MK Dons ) , but they've struggled against any of the better sides

...and they were woeful last season when they were relegated .

It will be a tricky game - they all are..... but no , they're not very good !
