Accrington away shouldn't be underestimated. And, they won't be.

Coming in hot here, but 4-0 Wrexham.

We're playing our best all over the pitch. Mullin got a nice little break only putting in a half hour in the league trophy last week. My guess is that will be beneficial for him and the injury I'd guess he is still dealing with, at least a little.

Hat trick for Mullin with one being a pen to make up for missing last weekend and help start catching up to Matt Smith to lead the league in goals haha. Davies with a goal after subbing in for Lee.

Last week's poll was very accurate predicting a home win despite one or 2 fans having the jitters. However, how confident are RPers now we are back on the road?

Last time I went to Accrington we were thumped 5-0. Thankfully, lots has changed since then! Mullin and McClean are now both available for selection. Whilst SPM is a no-brainer, PP has a dilemma whether to stick with Mendy -- who had a very good game against Gillingham -- or reintroduce McClean.

Barring injuries, the rest of the team should be the same. For me, put Dalby on the bench and start with Palmer. He can wrestle them into the ground for 55 minutes before bringing on the more mobile Dalby.

Their home form isn't too bad, but they have lost their last 2 league games. Has the conflict between owner and manager upset the dressing-room? Hope so!

Stanley 1 WXM 3

Mullin finds his f'in goalscoring boots and bags a brace, with one from J Jones. COYR!

I don't remember being beaten 5 : 0 but I can remember one of the first away games my dad took me to. It was in 1960 and we won 0:3 with my hero, Arfon Griffiths, scoring one of the goals. We had a poor season but did the double over Stanley winning by the same score at home with Metcalf scoring two.
Incedently, in the league cup, that season we beat Northampton Town, Brighton, Blackburn Rovers( 3:1 , a great three goals from Metcalf) before losing 5:0 at Aston Villa.

The other low point from that season was we were knocked out of the Welsh Cup and the F.A. Cup by the same team - Bangor City!

But to end on a high note - we were promoted the next season.

Great respect to Accrington, they have been punching above their weight for years - lets hope Saturday sees them knocked out.

First scorer in the 5-0 game? a player called Paul Mullin.

Got to be fate.

Is McClean available? I know he's playing for Ireland on Tuesday but is he joining up with the squad after Accrington?

Remember Halifax!
Underestimate Accrington at your peril.
Will they be knackered after extra time in cup?
Maybe as game wears on , so it is important to get the lead and keep it.
1-1

Agree with what you say regarding the Halifax game but we will win 3 nill .

Think we will go 2-0 up Mullin and Lee and then they will pull one back with 10 mins to go which sees us holding out for a nervy last 10 minutes to win 2-1

I was there that night ,seemed to be the start of our downward spiral, we had just beaten I think swindon 2-0 on the Saturday with a dominant display and then that shocking performance
The flood lights were terrible and we played in a black kit.
A good 3-0 win would make up for that dreadful night.

Our paths haven't crossed much due to not being in the same bloody league, but our record isn't exactly great against them...

That 5-0 was awful. We had a really good start to the season too, then as mentioned before, we played in black and the lights were so bad we could hardly see the far side of the ground! Ian Dunbavin took a lot of **** as well for being an ex Shrew.
