The PA announcement at Barnsley as soon as the away end started singing the James Maclean song was astounding. To say they have CCTV facilities to prosecute offenders when hundreds were singing the song was ridiculous.
I’d be interested to know if anyone eventually gets a knock at the door!

Was it directed to the away end?

Not sure how either of his songs are racist or discriminatory. Perhaps King Charles would feel discriminated against if he heard it, but I'm not sure he's a regular at Oakwell!

It’s EFL protocol, when you’ve been investigated found guilty and fined for this in the past, the EFL tell you to read out the statement, when it happens again, to avoid future punishment, so we do, it’s just lip service.

I'm pretty sure I remember there being a similar announcement when we played them and County fans were trying to work out what had been chanted to warrant it.

They take racism seriously then...

The Announcement was made after the home end was chanting something about the IRA
Also heard someone join in with the Barnsley IRA chant from our away end then told McClean to ‘get forward you fenian c***’. Sadly the abuse he receives isn’t exclusive to our opposition supporters.
